AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Noticed a new problem with the
Inventor Bobic quest... I've done this quest several dozen times over the past three+ years mainly with low level characters LVL1-40ish both froob and paid account characters. Never had difficulty with anything until today on a level 31 froob. It appears that the quest has been edited out of the game (?) or at least limited to players of a lower level than I am now (?). I know I have done this quest at higher levels (~ lvl 70 for a trox engie) with no such problem. Perhaps a recent patch changed this?
Anyone able to confirm this thought. (link to original quest info @ the link above)

When I was playing on Rimor with some lowbies, I had problems with this quest too... I had to petition a GM to help me finish it... it has a glitch in it now and is not high on the "fix now" list I was told....

Hope it's not a permanent thing. That hood has nice stats for the reqs, only thing I'll put on my head other than keelars, and is fairly easy to get... once you make it across the desert :/ ... Not fond of running around for 40minutes to find out he doesn't like you.

I'm having huge problems with the quest. the first part was just find, i found what he wanted, and got the XP, and the new mission. but then when i found the second part and brought it to him ( a brain something or other ) this conversation followed:
Inventor Bobic: What?
Phoenix15: I have the Brain Module you asked for.
Inventor Bobic: Yes, I was just waiting for some guy to give me legs, or was it parts?
Inventor Bobic looks at you and is obviously not satisfied. He somehow manages to express quite well the disgust of a perfectionist.
Inventor Bobic:
Was this the best you could do?
What on Rubi-Ka am I supposed to do only with some Flexible Alloy Legs and a Brain Module X349
Any ideas??!
Of course not...
Leave the thinking to the expert from now on, it will most certainly result in less stress on the progress of mankind and the fabric of the Universe itself.
By now, most people would have had enough of this lunatic's ravings...
Inventor Bobic: Are you still here?? Lost in your insignificant thoughts no doubt. Now let me have that Visual T.R.A.C. Scanner we talked about before you forget about it.
Come on, we don't have all day here!
Let me guess: You don't have it.
Well run along then and find it!
Good Bye!
Go!
Yes, he is rather exhausting this fellow...
Phoenix15: Let's talk about something else.
Inventor Bobic: Well come on, speak or be out of my hair will ya.
Phoenix15: Do you have any other information.
Inventor Bobic: What kind of information do you think I have to tell. Do I look like a babbling reet to you.
Phoenix15: What's your latest invention?
Inventor Bobic: I have been working on a Suppression Gas Manipulator, a device that works on many levels. Not only does it prevent fighting, but with my improvements, the gas could for example let everyone in the area get a craving for a Bronto burger or some Mongol meat, all according to who pays me more.
But that is another story, wasn't you the one that was supposed to get me that TRAC scanner?? Stop interfering with things you have no chance of understanding and be off, NOW!
but the mission wasnt completed (still in my missions window), i didnt get any XP, and i dont have a new mission. i hope it gets fixed. or the GM i petitioned gets me some help.

You still need to go find the Visual T.R.A.C Scanner. Which drops of a Mitilated Eye. Give that to Bobic. That should finish the quest

i know - i already found that. but that isnt the issue. the three objects he asked for give xp and credits seperately, and he isnt asking for the visual trac scanner - he keeps asking for the ... brain thing.
