AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Hiya all,
I dont know if this question has been asked before or if AO operates this, but, i was thinking like another online game i used to play it might be nice to be able to change your in-game hud layout / design, customise it as you see fit.
So with that in mind is this possible?, if this is so could someone be so kind as to point me to a relevent post / site please.

There are skins available both for the
launcher as well as for the
ingame GUI. There's a lot more out there than the links I provided, just have to keep your eyes open for them.
Regarding customization, there's quite a few possibilities to rearrange the control windows in the GUI, the major bits are handled in the
game manual. Or did you have anything specific in mind?

There are GUI variations made by players out there, to simplify the GUI mostly to make it more compact to take less space on your screen.
There are also some official ARK GUI skins that do not change the layout, just the skin of the GUI itself.
The officials forums are down, so I can't search for the links to them, sorry.

ok i suppose to be more clear about what i wanted i'm after changing the look of my ingame gui aka HuD how the xp bar look can it be changed to a circle instead of a bar, can i change the hotkey bar to triangle (not that i want to ofc!) but choices i am talking about to enrich my gaming experiance

.
in other words are there any packages that anyone has done or single mix 'n match ones out there (cue x-files music).
i suppose i am talking about changing the in game interface, like making a little control bar to make controling pet more easy or making my hotkey bar look like a circle (if i so wished) or again if i wished make my xp / aixp ect ect bar's look like barber poles (ok i understand no one would want that but i'm talking about freedom of choice), or to make my programmes area look like a spellbook if i so wished.

Did you check out the guides in our Classic Section on GUI Skinning?
Part 1
Part 2
Further to the information being here on the AOU Site, if you do a search in the AO Forum, you will find lots of responses to the posts where those threads were originally made.
