Hi guys.

So last night, I was on my lvl 23 NT twink, and on the OOC, someone asks for a low level twink to help in Notum Wars. So I offer my help, mentioning that I'm a froob, and he says that's fine. So I meet this person at a whompah.

And low and behold the confusion.

He gives me directions to set my chat to "Twinknet" then this wave of conversations flies. We reach the tower area and see people pvping. The person that brought me starts engaging, and I try to hit them with a blind. However...

"This is not a PVP district, no pvping allowed"

Huh? *squint* that guy's flagged! why can't I attack!?!

So a group of 3 people, one with GTA, a fixer with GA, and I"m pretty sure all of them had GSF on stared at me. I try to area nuke...

Well, with nothing better to do, I gave them a bow and ran off? So it was all over in 2 minutes after that. I'm there all confused; I was in this team with like 3 other people and they weren't there, clanners and omnis just standing there, then flew off in yalms (WTF, yalms at level 25-30?! stupid rich people with high implants to twink!). Messages go off mentioning something about planting towers; nobody answers my questions; then Twinknet makes a message going "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP..." etc etc etc.

Somebody help me! I feel like a n00b again after 10 months of this game!

PvP is a twink "game". So expect to see players use equipment that is or should be out of their reach (both financially and skill vise). Yalms can be bought for veteran points and frankly, twinks have no better use for those than buying yalms. With a skill req of 81VA, even level 5 can use one, if he implant skill and gather some other not so common items.

Tower wars work a bit differently as just getting a flag and presing Q. There are gas zones emiting from towe base (you'll get that green flashing msg if you enter them). In order to fight, both attacker and target needs to be in gas.

I'm not into PvP, but I'm sure there will be other replies explaining stuff in more detail.

Best bet is to get into a decent sized org & your orgmates will ease you into it gently...
