Oh... Now that's a damn good idea!

Missions tailored to a specific Proff...

But there would have to be some way to either force it to be a solo mission (possibly with a different kind of key to stop duplication), or that the mission only lets in that one Proff (thereby allowing a one Proff team)

But what could be the mission reward?

I'm sure the devs would come up with something nice if this was ever implemented.

Profession specific missions is something I have been thinking about for a long time. I love the idea:)

Firts off I like to present my ideas and then go down to examine your suggestions/ideas.

I have tested almost all professions at low level and enforcer/mp/keeper at a higher level. I have been thinking about a fighting and puzzle solving challanged designed to test each professions strength.

The mission story is about a rumor that a omni scientist has left the cooperation to build up a own reachers center. The scientist is one of the most skilled and experienced. Omni-tek spend a lot of recourses hunting him. But everytime they come close he change his hideout. This scientist is actually a good man who want to help citizens of Rubi.ka to get some of the top gear Omni-tek developed. But he want it to be a real challange. He has designed missions for each profession and for 2 level range; lvl 50 - 149 and lvl 150 - 220. So, there are two different missions for each profession with different rewards.

Rewards

Fixer
lvl 50 - 149 - grid armor II, III or IV. the player need to upload it before she/he leave the mission. the scientist provide a wrangle for the upload process.
lvl 150+ - ql 240 hud 2 item with following stats: evade close/dodge range/duck explosions 20, burst 20, smg 20 and nano init. 100.

Adventurer
lvl 50 - 149 - a ring that add run speed 150, map navigation 50, perception 20.
lvl 150+ - a hud 2 item that add melee init. 100, range init. 100 and addalloff 20.

Agent
lvl 50 - 149 - Pelisse of the Elysian Nymph
lvl 150+ - Shroud of Darkest Night with a aimed shot bonus of 30

Bureaucrat
lvl 50 - 149 - a nodrop hud 2 item that add 10 to mc/ts and 20 to add all def
lvl 150+ - a nodrop version of the Meister's Reinforced Suit that add 10 to all nanoskills and 200 to max health.

Doctor
lvl 50 - 149 - a golden Unhallowed Chalice that level from bm/mm req 450 to 850 and a nanocost from - 2% to -4% and max nano from 300 - 700 and bm/mm from 11 - 20.
lvl 150+ - a golden chacalise that fit into hud 2 and shows floating above the shoulder. stats: nanocost - 3%, skilllock -2, addalldef 20.

Enforcer
lvl 50 - 149 - a nodrop tank armor that levels from the stats of the guarian tank armor to the stats of ancient container. it also got a nanocost modifer from - 1% to -3% and addalldef from 10 to 50.
lvl 150+ - a nodrop hud 2 item that level from nanocost -1% to -3% and addalloff/addalldef from 10 to 50.

Keeper
lvl 50 - 149 - a nodrop 2 h edge sword that look like the greek swords and level from dmg 100 - 250 (100) to 200 - 350 (200) with fast attack and brawl and 1,25 recharge/attack.
lvl 150+ some sort of nodrop sword

Fixer
lvl 50 - 149 - grid armor II, III or IV. the player need to upload it before she/he leave the mission. the scientist provide a wrangle for the upload process.
lvl 150+ - ql 240 nodrop syndicate messenger gun that has 50 better crit.

I stop with this list since it take to long:)

well...about the fighting challange:
Professions that can mezz should face many pretty weak mobs etc. Agents should be able to sneak and face mobs that die with an AS or can be rooted, melee class.

Comments to your article

It is many very nice ideas for each profession!

some additional ideas:

MP
Maybe the mp have to face her/his demon within. The manifestations may take form of your parents. Some very dar surrealistic mission??

Doctor
Hmm, maybe let the doctor get into a team of NPC?âÔÇÜ?é??s that are close to dying all the time and the mission is to take them safe through a hostil enviroment?

Adventurer
I would like to see this quest to be more like finding path in unknown terrain. Using morphs will help the adventurer to not be detected by the wildlife..??

opps, time is out..

I will try to make this post more complete later

You missed Engis...!

I doubt FC would include any 'upgraded' items because all the 'normal' items would instantly become obsolete...

No NTs either

I like the idea, but the rewards you posted are a bit unbalanced.
That fixer could get Grid Armor is a good idea tho, and Maybe NT get NS1/2. But I think the biggest problem is to give the other profs equivalent rewards.

Also, if things like GA or NS can be gotten in prof specific mishes, they would have to have a nodrop tag. Otherwise we would have peeps farming them with froob accounts and selling for credz.

Btw. There actually exist a prof. quest in the game. Check out Legchopper quests. But they really really suck! And the rewards aren't even worth getting on most profs.

Yah, there are some nice ones, but most of them are pretty bad vs. the work and time needed to get them.

Have this prof. mission idea been submitted to FC btw?
If not, let's build a nice and balanced suggestion and submit it to their suggestion/feedback email.

So maybe we have something to do while waiting for RK1 to be fixed too

More soloable stuff like the class-specific mission idea would be wonderfull. I solo 99% of the time, and I absolutely despise how every time an expansion comes out for some mmo 90% of it is team-based stuff.

I know there's a special charm in knowledge what you're able to achive on your own. But this is MMORPG, that's why there's so much team work in it.

Indeed. If you want to go solo, play Deus Ex of System shock series
