Guild Database & Advertising Guidelines [UPDATED]

AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Guild Database & Advertising Guidelines [UPDATED]

Post by Windguaerd » Fri Feb 24, 2006 4:32 pm

When adding your org to our Guild Database there are a few things we'd like you to include:
  • Which server your org is located at.

    What faction you belong to.

    Short history of the org.

Specific requirements to join, be it a certain level, profession, measurement of game knowledge or game expansions needed.

If you have a city where it is located, same with any notum base(s) your org may currently control.

Style of play, be it roleplaying, powerplaying or a mix.

If it is roleplaying try to explain what is expected in-character (like the org being a group of miners you may be expected to act as a miner).

Clearly state expectations from new members and what you don't want.

Mention what benefits the org provides for it's members, and what is required to gain or earn such benefits.

If your org is in an alliance, be sure to mention that as well including the name of your allies.

Be clear on the joining process, how to apply, how to contact your org, correct URL of your website and posts to read before applying.

List members that can be contacted within the org for an interview.
We can also add a front page banner to the rotation to advertise your org. For this specific request you need to PM either an AOU Site Manager (Khuri or Ukblizzard) or our AOU Graphic Artist SceneGG. If you are able to provide the banner these are the specification for the image:
  • 160px ?âÔÇö 600px

    JPG Format
Otherwise our talented artist will work with you to create a great looking custom made banner. If your org is active in roleplaying we can also add them to the advertising rotation at our in-character publication Rubi-Ka Times at your request.

These are guidelines to help you present your org in the best way possible and help visitors make an educated decision when looking for an organization to be a part of.
