When you first get to Dr. Darnell, her first mission is to get the DNA samples and deliver them to Ulf Reinhart at Port 5. The next mission is to find the Spun Pygme Platter. Those 2 missions are switched around in this guide.

Actually thats not true. it just depends on the answer you chose when you talk to her. I did the plate first, then the dna.

Its a long and annoying quest, sorta makes sense now to do for the sk you get. I can only advise people to read it before starting as you can loot a lot of stuff on the way that saves you a LOT of running.

I guess so, I haven't tried to get both mission at the same time though, but it seems plausible.

IMPORTANT INFO MISSING IN THIS GUIDE : once at Dr. Darnell, collecting 3 DNA samples and bring her the delivery confirmation WILL NOT be enough. You must ALSO do her second mission ("Serving Up A Plate", obtained by saying her that you search for adventure) before she directs you back to Dr.Hestiya for Scientist's quest reward.

The info in the guide is correct, as far as I can tell. The mission is known to get buggy at this point and people have had to get GM assistance to fix it.

I'll see about testing it though, just in case.

There have been multiple complaints about the order of Dr. Darnell's missions. (Most recently: http://www.ao-universe.com/forum/viewto ... f=4&t=5633) I'm currently frozen so I can't verify the details, but the most recent forum post points to the "known issues" list on the official forums (http://forums.anarchy-online.com/announcement.php?f=540) which seems to confirm what Mardonge originally posted.

Technically our guide isn't incorrect except for putting the reward in the wrong place. The problem is Dr. Darnell should never have offered the DNA samples mission if the player hasn't completed the platter mission. Anyhow, I've moved the platter mission above the DNA samples mission in our guide and I think that it's now consistent with how the mission was intended and the player should receive his/her reward this way without issue.

i got both tasks at the same time and did them both before returning to her, turned in the platter one first, then the receipt from ulf and she gave me the option for the mission back to get the nano

In answer to my own post, I decided to just go for it and see what happened.

The Immature Voidling was grey to my level 175 keeper. It was around level 120 and went down without any trouble.

The Adolescent Voidling was green to my level 175 keeper. It don't remember what level it was but I would guess about level 140-150. This one put up a bit of a fight, but I popped my Bio Shield and Bio Cocoon over the course of the fight and managed to put it down.

For reference, my keeper is equipped with total junk. QL 50-150 imps, various QL Ofab armor all below QL 150. My best equipment is my QL 160 or 200 (don't remember which) Copy of Excalibur.

So thus far I've dinged 3 times doing this quest and I've just gotten my big beautiful useless shield.

Oh, by the way.

Having completed half of this quest, I can confirm that our guide is correct if followed precisely:

"Initiate dialog with Dr. Hestiya twice to get two missions"

"You will need to have retrieved Spun Pygmaeus Platter for Dr. Darnell as well as delivering the DNA samples before you will receive this reward."
