With this process, we can modify Tank Armors. They loose penalties to evades and nano cost, but will gain a nano init penalty and the "Temporary" item flag. Actually, the items no longer vanish after the said 48 hours of being worn; that part of the item description is outdated. They still do have the flag though, which means you can't put them in a backpack. You can get Tank Armors from Thin Bernice, find them on Dyna and mission bosses, or roll them as mission reward.

You'll also need a Neutron Displacer, which you can get from a General Tools and Bases Terminal. The tool needs to be at least 50% QL of Armor and gets used up in process.

Requires x1 in Mechanical Engineering, x1 in Quantum Physics and x2.5 Breaking & Entering Skills based on the QL of the armor.
