Doors that won't open...

AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Doors that won't open...

Post by OlowNon » Tue Nov 22, 2005 11:36 am

Are doors that don't open for you when you try to go through them locked, or do locked doors say they're locked and give you a chance to use a lockpick (or break and enter, etc...)?

I've picked many locked chests so far, but haven't gotten any similar messages for doors yet.

Doors that are locked will tell you in a mission that they are locked, you will need to use a lockpick and your Breaking&Entry skill to try and unlock it, gives little xp.

I don't recall getting messages when a mission door is locked. It simply fails to open. I get messages when I try to pick them, though.

Picking locked doors works just like picking locked chests. It also requires a lot less B&E skill.

You just don't get that "gear" icon over them, as you do with chests. But then again, it's large space, so you can hardly miss it with lockpick. A small change regarding to chests is also that you can pick doors even if in fight.

I always get the 'gear' cursor when I hover over one... Anyway, Doors are easier (less B&E) to open than chests in the same mission.
