AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

So, what's the place to go to for a chat, a drink, a ... date?
Or just to meet some of the people from channel42.
Where do you folks go to?

Well, i hang out at the Rampa Bar sometimes, and have seen people hang there sometimes. I have found some RP there. But it is very rare.
The Reets Retret Is where most people go to party and hang out. Its like a club like place.
And The Cup in old Athens is a good place for RP, and people hang out there more often then at the Rompa Bar. The Cup is like a coffee shop.

Old Athens isn't the place for me I think, having Omni-Tek as my friend.
But I might try the Rompa Bar and maybe the Reets Retreat.
Thanks for the reply.

The bar scene kind of died out a long, long time ago. For better or worse Channel42 is the closest thing to that left, a place where you can just talk in character and hopefully, on a good day, get an in-character response. One thing you can try is whilst on Ch42 inviting people to meet for a cup of coffee somewhere, but bear in mind some folk tuned into CH4 might be out in the Shadowlands or queueing for a spot on a Battlestation.
Alternatively you can check out Borealis. Its a busy town, but among the PvP and buff beggers you stand a fair chance of bumping into other roleplayers. Look for people who are walking rather than running.
