When attempting to get the AOU Mod to work with 18.8.18, I get the following message upon using the command /script aou_gui_default
Also, once I have done that, I cannot use the skills window properly. I can set Abilities and Body stats, but cannot even get to the tabs for the others. If I choose 'Save', AO crashes. It only does this while AOU is installed. If I reset GUI to default, but still have the AOU Mod files in place, it still causes this oddity with the skills window. I have to completely remove AOU Mod to do skills.

The 18.8.18 has indeed changed GUI elements, breaking any custom GUI. There are several contributors to this (most likely culprits are the new Item Shop, alterations to the functionality of Inspect, and changes for the upcoming Steam release).
At the moment there is no time table on fixing this. The mod updates in recent times have been generously made by the community as the creator of the mod is not available to assist.
Hopefully this fix happens sooner rather than later, and news will be posted when it is.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

I take it that it's safe to assume that this will not be updated for the current version then? Seeing as it's been almost a year since the last reply.

After deciding to try out AOU I saw the issue in this thread and sought to address it using my extremely rusty programming skills. Thankfully, everything was in XML, and I was able to test fixes in real time since the game reloads every file when a menu is opened. I haven't touched any of the extras that used to load html files, yet, but I might look into those. For now, if you want to fix your skills menu simply go to the install folder for your AO UI mods (easy to find using the launcher settings), open the AOU_CYT (the only one I've touched so far) folder, go to views, then replace skills.xml with this version:

Thanks to the original team that made this awesome UI mod. I love curved health bars.
