AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

New player, made 5 characters, and have had some problems figuring out something (probably) simple with Retrieval missions.
How the hell do I finish these? Where am I supposed to bring the Item in question? I went out, killed everything, and have the item; I then went back to the EXACT Mission terminal I started from, talked to all the soldiers in the area, and nothing happens.
It's probably something stupid-simple I missed, but I cannot figure out how to complete this mission! Please give me the key to this inane annoyance!

The other thing I can't figure out is wtf the Global market Search Terminals are for. I put in searches and never get any results. I tried a perfect spelling of Mausser Particle Streamer, QL10-30, price to 200k and sat there for 10 min without any result. Do these actually work?

Regarding your first problem, just pick the item up with the mouse and click it on the mission terminal. As you mentioned, it has to be exactly the same mission terminal you pulled the mission from.
Global Market Search Terminals only work if you've got the Alien Invasion expansion. If you're using the free to play or reduced-pay Shadowlands only subscription, you can not use the GMS.

Thanks! I KNEW it was something simple I missed!
I'm a fr00b lvl 26 Fixer, so the expansions will have to wait a bit.

The $5/month SL only option is quite a good one if you're short of cash...
& if you can afford it, when you go full payed, pay for a full year up front, it actualy HALVES the yearly cost (assuming paying monthly), the down side of course is that you have to fork it all out at once lol.

...and you don't get Vet Points for some reason. My Vet Points have dropped dramatically after changing to 6mnth payment

It's not that they drop, it's just that you get what you pay for, which means a years points then nothing for another year I believe...

Snake, you're confusing paid points for vet points. Paid points are awarded in advance, whereas vet points are awarded based on "passed subscription time". However, Funcom's account system is totally screwed up as far as I can tell. My vet points don't make any sense for quite a few years already. Not sure it's got to do with being on a yearly payment plan or whatever, just that I'm lacking well over a years' points. And support isn't doing anything about that either. I've got some hilarious emails in the process though.
