AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

why did they remove loot drops from the aliens ,on noob Island ?
and whats the deal with the XP ?
I mean, I do not stick around there long enough to have noticed , that it is non-existent after you ding level 9. I was keeping a toon there, to help any friends that may start AO, so I decided to just hang out longer with this latest toon , strange that I can get 390-400xp from level 4 mobs when I am lvl8, but that is it, they go Grey after that, and what mobs that are not Grey, your lucky to get more then 81xp, and that is from lvl 7 mobs. Only thing left are the aliens, and the lowest there is lvl 10 (not counting spiders), And I get the same xp from them if I was lvl 7, 8 or 9, it was 130 something.
anyways curious to know why it is like it is now. I remember before they patched it, and they placed a max level for there, because everyone was starting new toons farming AI-XP , but still why did they take further by removing the loot, and so little xp

The loot table on the starter island have been simplified (some people also call it nerfed

) in order to lower the confusion of new players. Seeing a shiny weapon drop that you can't equip because you don't have the expansion was apparently a too complicated issue for some new players.
The beach and robot mobs had the XP they give artificially raised in order to make levelling on the island a bit easier. The remaining higher level mobs basically give more or less normal XP as you'll encounter it on the mainland.
