Should The Collector have the loot it does?

Post by Ukblizzard » Wed May 05, 2010 8:10 pm

If like me you read the AO Forums regularly you cannot have missed the amount of posts regarding the loot dropping from The Collector instance.

How do you feel about it? Place your votes!

I think it's fine as the instance was meant to be far harder than it was making the reward more worthy and the large loot table vs random drops means it's a lucky dip. I saw reports of NT's getting ranged gear and soldiers getting nano gear so although "stuff" drops, it's not always what you might want. If people want X item badly enough, they will go camp or farm the correct mob/instance etc. Once this is fixed (and possibly now gets a lockout put on it) the fury will die off.

For me, I am glad at another way (and a fun way?) of possibly getting access to these kinds of phats, always seems like someone else gets them over me but thats possibly due to being a nanomage engi pistoleer and ruled by sods laws! =)

I think most of the loot is fair, with probably reduced dropchance for the real phats now. But one item, the ACDC I do not think should drop there. And maybe not whole DB bracer, but parts for it.

well i find it stupid that Tara loot drops there. its the only PvP instance in AO where you fight for loot. and giving the collector tara loot is just silly.

Maybe a couple new loot items

Post by Ignoruall » Sun May 23, 2010 11:39 pm

Maybe if a couple new loot items were added to the Collector loot table, older players who have pretty much everything they need in-game will be attracted to doing the instance. One thing that seems to have changed is the amount of loot and types of loot found in RK missions. Some of the items that used to drop regularly have either been taken away or the loot tables trimmed to the extreme. Just my two cents.
