AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Hi i am a noob to AO and am currantly playing a lvl 30 Opifex shade. My question is regarding how i should spend IP on base stats for this profession. Everyone i have spoke to ingame and threads i have read state that you should always max out all of the base stats
, i find this strange as every other online game i have played requires you to train only 2-3 of these stats bepending on your race/profession etc. Surely to train all of them is a waste of IP that could be better spent on specialisation stats? Any help with this is appreciated tnx.

The thing is, ALL your other Skills are based on one or more of your Base Stats.
This means that if you max say Computer Literacy, since it's based 100% on Int, if you then max Int you will get a few more points of CL. We call this 'trickledown'...
Your Base Stats are also what your ability to put Implants in is based on (spirits too I believe), so most of them are useful for that too.
Some weapons require Base Stats...
The list goes on to be honest.
You WILL find a time when you don't need to increase certain Base Stats any further, but for low level, it certainly won't do any harm.
Don't make me come in there and Moderate you!

Like Snake has already said, all Base Abilities are usefull to a certain extend. However the most important will be Agil & Sense since your spirits require those to equip. The others you do not have to keep at max all the time at lower levels... but you will want them later. In case you need the IP for other skills ... especially piercing & evades for a Shade... you may skip less important abilities like Psychic for a few level.
You might find our Shade guide
useful especially for the start.
Just as a note: AO is not like most other online games. Especially during the times of tight amount of IPs you have to decide what is more important to you (and your gameplay style). You may have noticed already that weapons & armor are not simply level locked, it requires skills (and some certain levels)... unlike a certain popular other MMORPG... or basicly many of those.
ps: Usually you get enough IP during your way up to 220 to max all important skills and additionally a few interesting.
