Article: 8th Year Anniversary Interview with Means, Game Dir

AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

I am looking forward to the new engine coming online in AO. Good interview.
But wouldn't it be nice to see some social things in game for players to do? For example on the advertising screens that are scattered in the game perhaps run some player made movies. For any player created art maybe make an art gallery perhaps with the option of purchasing a print that players can hang in their apartments. I would give my right arm for something to take notes on in the game. Orgs would appriciate being able to put Org insigs on armors. To inscribe a piece of armor or a weapon would be awsome too. Same with Backpacks make the label stay until the origional purchaser remove the inscription. If funcom would only make clubs and bars a social place to be like adding games and a jukebox to pubs. A band that would take a request in disco's. As the pubs and dance clubs are now they are sterile and quite dead sadly. Maybe in pubs players could make use of the hover chairs to group around a table to play games. Maybe darts on the wall in the pubs perhaps ? I forgot to add the thought of gambling casinos or perhaps Leet races !! would be fun to say the least and a break from the fighting mobs and other players in the battle stations. . .

Cool interview... and yes, the suits do look like Ricardo's Fanatasy Island suits. I had suggested these as an addition suited to the introduction of Serenity Island, and next thing I see is screenshots from Means with a tall solitus and a very short trox wearing them :D

I just wanted to express how much I appreciate FunCom, Means, and all the other Devs and people that make the AO universe so freaking awesome.

I have an extensive history of playing MMO's from Ultima Online (yeah, that one) to Silkroad online and a bunch in between (but never played or plan on playing WoW). It is so refreshing to finally be playing a game where the Developer let's the community know what is going on with the game as far as updates, balancing, and future plans. Every time I see a negative post I just have to laugh at the whiners. They would never be able to have an opportunity to let their voice be heard in any other game that I've ever played (and they have been numerous).

So, to Means and all the FunCom staff and ARKs, Thank You!!! I for one appreciate all the hard work you do in bringing us such a well thought out and entertaining game. Keep up the good work.

Oh, and this latest update, one word.... SWEET!
