WTF is wrong with Omni

Post by Guest » Fri Dec 30, 2005 6:55 pm

Having recently been in need of an Essence of Behemoth, I skirted around Rome looking for someone of appropriate level. None there, big shocker I know. So on to Borealis, plenty of Omni Enforcers to be found there, right level, not fighthing in FT, perfect place to get a buff.

So...I ask not one, not two, but three difference Enf very nicely and to the point what I needed.

Sample Message: Hi Name, may I please have Ess of Behemoth?

Results of all three different Enfos:

In Vicinity: No Reply.
In Tell: No Reply.

How <edited> hard is it to push a button for a fellow omni? Rolling neut next time, Omni sucks <edited>.

In reply tho...

Yes, they could all have been simply /afk...

However, I have noticed that it's much harder trying to get buffs from Omni (when on an Omni character) than it is getting buffs from Clan (when on a Clan character). Why this might be is beyond me, but it seems to be.

Also, Clan are more lightly to buff Omni than Omni are to buff Clan... But there you go lol.

Aaaahhhhh...... Borealis the beautiful, how i missed thee.

Sometimes it just ain't your night. Happens to the best of us, and that's why my best advice is to have 3-4 things going on between teaming downtime

I am an omni enforcer of the right level to cast Essence of Behemoth and if you asked the chances are you would get it.

Although i may look like your personal essence dispencer there are many circumstances which would mean you wouldnt, regardless of level, faction, sex or religion, get a Bhe from me (i'm not into RP so i couldnt care less if your clan or omni). Here are a couple of examples:

1) I don't see your tell. and if i'm not expecting any messages i'm not likely to read back through the chat list to see if anyone tried to get hold of me

2) I can't cast Bhe at that moment because i am in the process of changing my setup possibly involving many equips and unequips, and i assume if i dont reply you will look elsewhere (i know i'm lazy)

3) I've already had 725 requests for BHE in the last 5 minutes and i would like to take a break and actually continue doing whatever it is i was trying to do.

Remember please that the characters are played by people, they arnt NPC provided to give you buffs, you dont have any right to recieve a buff from me or anyone else so instead of being angry when you dont get one, be a little more grateful when you do.

That said the chances are you will often find me outside RGA slapping a Behemoth on everything that comes within casting range.

Thats just not being smart.

I would never buff someone who is Clan for the simple fact that they may be off to a tower war, using that buff against me/my side.

This is true, however, you need lots of ppl for a good tower war, one or 2 buffs isn't gonna make huge amounts of difference to a tower war.

The only time my Clan chars won't buff Omni, is when they are flagged & in OA (there is only one reason an Omni would be flagged & in OA) but there are many reasons a char might be looking for buffs from 'the other side' including twinking, missioning, exploring, going to player shops & so on, not just tower wars.

Of course, from a pure RPG perspective, there are few ppl that would buff the enemy, but this is just a game after all & we're here for enjoyment purposes, I personaly am not going to put someone in a bad mood simply because he (or she) is playing the other side in our game, there's nothing at stake here (such as money or life), & we all wanna get somewhere in this game.

But this of course is just my opinion...

The Quality of people in the Neutral community make it worth not having Tier3.
