AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Hey, guys...
I use to play a long time ago, just resubscribed...
anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make those I.D cards?
You create a text file in one of the AO folders and edit it to hold information that you type in..
Also, there was a way to show it to people in chats...
I can't remember how to do it...any help please?

Greetings Motorise,
What you used to be able to do was target yourself, press "G" and then an information reference about yourself would go into your CTRL 3 panel. You could then use this reference into chat like you still can do for items. For some reason, this doesnt appear to work any longer -- or at least I am completely unable to click my references into the chat panel.
At any rate, what you seem to be referring to are scripts. You can make a script, and then type a command to send this into vicinity or your chosen channel.
In particular, you might want to look into making a sort of text reference pop up script..
You can use
Khuri's Script Editor information here.
Or perhaps our
Introduction to scripting will get you on the right path.
Good luck!

THANKS
I am actually talking about the scripting!
lol
You could make this text file, type a command that activates it and it would show up in the chat window as (Mortorise I.D Card) Of course you could change the name of the object...
and it had all of the details about you that you wanted other players to know...it was great for RP's or just answering all of those questions in one single swoop...lol..
anyway, thanks for the link to the scripties...*wink* see you around!!!
