Dual wielding for Fixer

Hey guys/gals,

what's the trick to dual wielding certain items?

I've got 4 MG/SMG type weapons right now, but only one combo allows me to dual wield. I'm thinkning maybe I cannot dual wield if both items require reloads, but talking with someone online did not belive that to be the case.

Anyhow, here is what I have:

Cheap MTI - Russian Good Day QL24 - (1-52) - LEFT HAND
Solar Powered Sub Machine Gun QL1 - (1-24) - RIGHT HAND

Simple MTI Aleph 99 (5-57)
Ill-Treated Mausser Particle Streamer QL19 - (3-45)

Everything is right hand only except for the Russian Good Day (which can be either). Obviously I want to get rid of the Solar powered SMG but, I cannot equip anything else.

What am I missing here?

Look here at these,

Simple MTI Aleph 99
Ill-Treated Mausser Particle Streamer

Neither of them have multiranged as a property, so thats more than likely why you cant wear them as well as your other gun :)

If you look at your QL 24 gun, you will see it has a Multi ranged 32 requirement.

also bear in mind that the dual wield skill needed to wield 2 weapons uses the lowest stated skill on either weapon.

For example 2 guns that where dual wieldable, 1 had a dual wield skill of 100 the other of 50, to dual wield them you would only have to get to 50

Shouldn't matter.... my advy has a QL300 peregrine Mk6 with MR req of 1649, and a JEPP with a MR req of 800. I can freely take off an put on the JEPP, even though my MR is only 850ish.

yeah it shouldn't matter which order you put them on in, it should always take the check against the lowest score of the two, or atleast it always has for me

I have a pair of alien pistols on my Engi, & I HAVE to put the larger on on first because it's dual wield is much higher than the other one...

hum ... I ve tested a lot the MM/MR skill depending on order and right or left hand ...

and 100% of the tests gave : the lowest MM/MR req is used, whatever the order or the right/left ...

the only thing you have to be carefull is, if one of your weapon gives MM/MR bonus or via trickle :)

Well, thanks for all the replies. Since I could not find another dual-wield SMG to go with the Russian Good Day, I acquired a single SMG that almost doubles the damage that I was getting with the dual-wield.

yeah I wouldn't recommend dual wielding as a fixer at low level anway, get a decent kerans on til 50ish then aim for a high ql Chem streamer untill you can get your hands on stuff like black birds or manexes
