AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Well, you won't earn a lot of credits until later on, meanwhile while you do missions, loot every corpse, every chest and every single thing that is not bolted down to the floor. Your main income will come from missions.
Once you are mid-level things will improve, depending on your proffession. If you are able to blitz for nanos/items people want then you can make a decent living, if you are able to make things (tradeskills) then you could have a decent income as well making armors/weapons/items.
As an agent I blitzed a lot of my nanos to save cash when I was lower level, and then offered my services to do it for people, specially when someone doesn't want to go through an entire mission to get a nano.
If you don't know what blitzing is...here goes:
Agents, Fixers and any profsession able to effectively calm/root mobs in a mission can practically RUN through the whole thing to the end to just grab an item.
Some missions parameters allow you to 'find' an item to succeed, and if such item is useful to you...no reason to kill all the way to is, just skip to the end. Also a mission which gives you an item you want as a reward for finishing it...is good, if the mission ir to use something on a machine, kill a mob or find an item...they can be done pretty fast.
Check our Classic AO section, and check out our Clicksaver Guide , it will help you with finding items you may want for yourself or to sell. Be aware that if you're looking for a certain QL, that you SHOULD try to get a mission +/- 10 from it. If you looking for a QL 50 item, try to get a QL 40-60 mission.
