1.) No as such. You can get higher ql version of that gun or swich to another weapon that might suit your needs more tho.
2.) This one is a bit tricky. There are around 1500000 items ingame. Half of them, or maybe even more, are used in some sort of tradeskill process. To make stuff even more interesting, only 30-50 tradeskill processes are "interesting" to general public. Rest, well, you can either buy finished items from stores or find them, or product isn't worth the bother. We, like few other sites, have guides on some of those tradeskill processes, but so far no site have complete list. Most tradeskillers learn most demanded processes, but this takes some experience. As for general guide, no there isn't any such thing. Game mechanics has been changed a bit, so different rules might apply to diferent tradeskills (for example: increase in ql of product depending on skill in only certain tradeskills).
3.) You probably won't find ultimate answer to that. Reason for xp: depending on wheather you play solo or teamed, places and mobs differ. Futhermore, if teamed, you must consider who are you teamed with, their equipment and their skill with game. For credits: if someone found an ultimate way to make credits, they won't be willing to share. Your best bet is looting everything (while regarding some common curtasy while in team) and selling everything, either to shops or to other players. What will players buy and for how much is another thing that requiers experience. Another way to get credits is blitzing mission rewards. But with all the players doing the same, you should find niche, an item, that while it's in demand, noone else is blitzing for (or you won't be able to sell).
