AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

okay I have the small and the large files both give me th same error. click Install.exe and gett an error window which shows the commandline parameters but no data on what commands or the format.
I was interested in this game but when it takes 5 hours to download a file that wont install then the rest of the game cant be that good. Anarchy Online official site requires membership to even post on the tech support channel?!?!?!?!

Not sure about your error, in first case it could be anything with such a short description, however game developers surely know better about it anyway.
Membership on forums is required, as you have to register for the game anyway. Once you registered for the game, you can create an account on forums for your game account.
I think this is a very good way by the game developers to control who actually is on the forums, as it is one forum account per one game account.

yes a but with the free access acount to check out the game before I buy their is no forum acces at all. Not even on the tech support side.
I downloaded the client files both the large one and the small one. Both give me the same error on install. Useing setup.exe it tells me to use Install.exe. okay np, use install exe and a window pops up just says command line parametrs:
/L Language
/S Hideen install
/v /qn <no explanation what its for>
/VM \
/VS - all of these ask for directory to InstMsi.
/UA /
I have latest Install manager from windoze installed, this is the only program that i have had a problem like this with.
What? Me worry?

That is correct, fr00bs have NO access to the official forums.
The logic seems to be that since you're a paying customer, you are not paying for tech support.
However...even if you can't post, you can read the posts in the Official Forum and if I'm not mistaken even use the search feature. This means that you could do a search with a few key words to see if a similar problem was posted (and a solution posted back hopefully).
Personally I have not encounterest any problems installing AO on any system since 2002.
My only advise would be to double check the game requirements and see if you meet them and stop running any programs in the background while installing.

okay.....i have a dual amd system dual 7800 ultra's 4 gig memory, system aint the problem as for being a FROOB , they offered a free to try so i want to try the game and see if its worth my money b4 trying it, as for the search function in the forums, no joy. all the errors that seem the same nobody has replied too.
as for not paying= no support, the least they could offer is the tech support forum, again its NOT a system problem its a file install problem. I do a minimal system install boot whenever i am installing/playing high resource games like eq2 or swg. have no problems with either of those games with all game options active.

Ok, this may sound thick, but what's an install manager?
AO doesn't need a manager for it to install, it should manage it its self.
Can you disable the install manager?
Where did you DL the game to prior to instaling?
