Really? Odd. I had tried before on my froob account and it said I didn't have access. Maybe they changed it since then. I never bothered to try again.

Do I get the AI lvls etc automaticly when I upgrade from a free account? Or do I have to make a new char and start over to get those lvls

Yes u will, just continue as usual and kill some aliens /daily alien mission and so on - and u gain alien lvls to.
No need to create a new char.
