AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

SO the new patch just hit live but it wont let me patch it gets to the bit thats says,
Patching version 18.3.1_EP1 to 18.3.2_EP1.
Please see
http://www.anarchy-online.com for more information.
then crashes and says, An unrecoverable error occured during patching. You might need to reinstall AO to play....
So I have AO backed-up on my slave HDD and recopied all the files and still get this error, ive tried running under Admin and this still happens I'm using WIN7 and not had problems patching before.
Please help ...

Try looking at
THIS, dunno if it will help, I've never had a problem with patching and it's all gibberish to me...

Yep, was just about to post that link!
The tool on that page has helped me in the past, worth trying.

Well, I can't patch either. Tried the above link and get a 404 error. My patching problem is a bit different.
Patch Failed: Old file not found. However, a file of the same was found. No update done since file contents do not match. Current File: "cd_image\gui\Default\TextColors.xml"
I've tried re-naming mine to .xml.bak, deleting the textcolors.xml altogether. Nothing seems to work.
Oh. I'm using Windows 7 and have AO in C:\\Funcom\Anarchy Online

you need to download the clean gui and install that 1st (
download here)
if you have been running a custom gui that doesn't utilize the multiple GUI feature, that came out with the v18.0 update, that custom gui would have altered the default file sizes.
post v18.0 GUIs like AOU MOD and nDGUI 4.3 do use the multi GUI feature, which leaves the default AO folder well alone

Yup, you can either reinstall or replace with the original GUI files, either will sort that problem.
