Ergo in RK

my toon: lvl 51 MP
been playing AO for 1.5 months now and I have the SL expansion
So i read the insipid ring quest from this site. I realize that the quest is talking about talking to ergo in SL, but i went to Stret West Bank to talk to ergo to see what he had to say. after he talkes for a while, he seems to give me the quest to search for some items (tells me to talk to the yutto). I talk to the yutto, it says he hands me a PDA w/ the list of things i need to bring back to ergo, and it would appear that i should have a quest from them. but when i look at my mission window, nothing is there. the guide says that if your above lvl 40, ergo will just give you the ring. is there something im doing wrong? ive gone back and talked to ergo several times and gone through all the diff. dialogue strings i think, but no mission?

EDIT--i did search the forums here for any reference to ergo on RK and the knowledge section in both Classic AO and SL. and my account is bugged for the official AO website, so im unable to post there or do searches.

Ok.... you can get you level 1 (+1 to skills regarding your profession and abilities) ring from Ergo early on by doing this quest. It never shows up in your mission log, but it is there all the same. Now for the bad news... you can only do this if you are under level 24, as the items you need to find are found in the Subway... they are the 4 NoDrop items you find in there... But I see by your post that you are level 51 now... so you go to Ergo in Southern Nascense and talk to him and he will give you the ring. You can use the ring on the portal there to get to Elysium.

Oooh. i like that tutorial. and thanks for the help. i just noticed that i have a PDA in my inventory from the Yutto. so the "mission" was accepted. im just really stupid for not investigating further

Actually I beleive the bits drop in other places in RK also, just can't remember where, and wether or not they've been removed...

From the AOdevs guide:

"any non-boss mob in The Abandoned Subway, Steppes of Madness, Foremans, Cyborg Barracks, Smugglers Den, or Camelot, have a potential to drop one of the four pieces."

So you could in theory still get it at that lvl but you might as well get the better one from Ergo in SL!

I honestly can't remember seeing those items drop anywhere else but inside the Abandoned Subways. They are a quite common drop there though.
