Re: Community - XML-Parser for Chatbots

Ok, I recently discovered that Xyphos has a XML item look-up, so I can handle item and itemname properly, but the additional look-ups slows down the response. I added a configuration to turn off the item look-ups to speed things up a bit. Here's screenies as requested. In a chat session with a bot t...

Re: Mobile/Bot Parser

Well, I agree that having the folders organized hierarchically is probably a good idea, but it doesn't really matter to me one way or the other. I managed to get my Vhabot plug-in working so I'm happy. :D Taking a second look at your proposed change, putting subfolders into a <folderlist> element wo...

Re: Mobile/Bot Parser

The main difference is the nesting of the folders, and that gets messy for XML parsers as you can't predict how many levels down a guide might be -- sometimes 2 sometimes 3. The current layout hands everything out as a flat array which is easier to parse. It's not as good a representation of the und...

Re: Community - XML-Parser for Chatbots

Ah! I don't mean that AOU's itemname tag doesn't work correctly. I mean that my plug-in's handling of itemname doesn't work correctly because I couldn't think up some straightforward way to do it. It's no fault of yours. It's just that this was a usage/feature that the cidb's didn't think any of us ...

Re: Community - XML-Parser for Chatbots

Ok, I'm done for now on the AOU Vhabot plugin. It's fairly usable, but itemname doesn't work correctly. The problem is that the current cidb for item look-ups is set up only to search on item names. I'm not sure how to get an Item's name from an item RefID. Anyhow, Vhabot users can install my plug-i...

Re: Community - XML-Parser for Chatbots

Yup! Not having to open up a web browser is something that I've been wanting for ages... I've updated my plugin to support the following tags in guides: url color img item I've written in support for itemicon and br but I haven't found a guide that uses them so I'm not really sure they work. For the...

Re: Community - XML-Parser for Chatbots

Initial Vhabot support for searching and displaying AOU guides is now available:

Working on making nice with colors and external links next.

Re: Re Noway to play

Three(3) hours and nothing! I went to everyplace mention plus back to bckyard(to buy) and junkyard to buy and/or kill for it.I even hid (if you will) the gun in my bank hoping that on me it was somehow tripping the drop rate(talk about grasping for straws) but nothing. I sort of like to play the ga...

Took a look on a friend's old iPhone. I guess its the 3G and whatever OS that runs.

Here's a screenshot she sent me:

The screenshot looks bigger to me than actual size.

Re: Community - Website Improvements

The mobile site is nice, but the font and the menu are a bit too tiny. Any chance you can make the main font bigger by like 200-300% and the side menu bigger by like 500% or more in the CSS or something?

Re: This is no way to play

Since you're talking about "Pack of Noobs", I'm presuming you're both Omni and on RK2, which means neither Carrion nor I can help you out, otherwise I could probably farm you both parts in about 15 minutes on my NT. Normally, I'd suggest going to Wartorn Valley to kill low level Technoscavengers and...

Re: 334 - Galactic Jewel

"Which Galactic jewel you'll create depends on database number of Frozen Crystal Compound. There are several ways to check that : shift+t (you'll see product's name), give tell to helpbot with compound and check Helpbot's store or show compound to someone logged in chat with AORC." The intention, I ...

Re: Need a place to fit in. Plus the tedium of teaming nowda

I just reread the OP and I have a few additional comments. My org isn't super active. There are between 1-8 people on line at any given moment with 1-3 people in the guest channel. I'm assuming that Wolvenkrad is a Froob like I am currently, so instead of Mercury Dragons, he should look at Mercury D...
