Re: ClickSaver

Yes, I have also observed that your net was slowed down for two months because there are times that your site is not available. :) Actually the website has nothing to do with Silvana's downtime. The website is hosted in a german data center. If the website is unresponsive it either means the server...

Re: AO-Universe login doesnt work with aoitems.com

The SimpleID part that AOItems uses is managed by us. To use your AOU-Login you have to do the following: Login to AOU and access the User Control Panel. Go to the Profile Tab and scroll to the bottom where it says Allow OpenID. Make sure it is YES and submit. On the left side, click on Edit account...

Re: Community - Monthly Development Update - April 2nd, 2014

Hehe, that might have indeed been taken as april fool ;) Although AO is still the only MMORPG i know of that actually allows you to collect dozens of backpacks of loot. Most games nowadays limit you so badly with your inventory... Speaking of april fools: Same as with the company i work for, i'm bui...

Re: AO Froobs Down

They seem to have trouble with their server (maybe overloaded). With multiple requests i either get a 200 response with the page loading (very randomly) or a 200 but a white page (which might indicate a termination of PHP), a 500 (which indicates an internal server error, which might be anything). B...

Re: Guide URLs

Hi Trypha,

if you open a guide now you'll find a "Quicklink"-input now in the top left box. It gives you something like this:
http://www.ao-universe.com/guides/170

Also, as a sideproduct, linking to a guide without supplying the "mid"-variable is now optional, the resulting page looks the same.

Re: Waypoint to clipboard (links in guides)

Hi Bestbuy, thanks for your report. Depending on the browser there might be a gap between the text that makes the popup box appear and the box itself. If you go over that gap your focus is not on the text anymore and the popup disappears. I fixed it by moving the box closer to the text, so there sho...

Re: Community - Monthly Development Update - January 2013

I'm pretty happy Funcom did with TSW, but as we see there as well, the majority of people who're interested in such "uncasual" gameplay is rather small. Same probably does count for AO these days and would be if they keep the current way it works... yet this is exactly what i always liked about it. ...

Community - Piwik Tracking

Hi guys, i just wanted to inform you that i've installed piwik as statistic-tracker for testing purposes. It will be removed in a few weeks again top, unless we find it totally nice and stick with it :) If you hate trackers and have no blocker in your browser, but would like to opt-out of the tracki...

Re: number the steps for guides

The ToC generation on the guides on the site automatically happens by reading the internal hyperlinks. A lot of guides use those already to create a sort of overview. You might want to take a look at it; numbering them would be a piece of cake. Look for the following bbcode: [goto=link]text[/goto] -...

Guides - Guide-Improvements

We added a new way of displaying waypoints in our guides. If you now read a guide and see a little map icon next to a bold link, hover your mouse over it to see a little info window with the coordinates. If you click on that window, the coordinates will be copied to your clipboard. You can then past...
