Looks like you are right, these other quests are more or less like the one to Mort, just different mission name.

It was in Central Artery Valley, top left, at the Radar station.

There is a similar quest to 4 holes and Clondyke.

I don't see a guide about this daily, you are given a hostile Dot and must get to the npc to remove it, you have around 5 mins before it starts draining health.
