Is the ChatCon still available/working?

Edit: My bad, found one. Let's see if it works.

I'll pm you :)

Alright, I got a log that will very likely do, given that if I remove the incriminated part, it works perfectly well, and if I don't remove it, it crashes. Is there any preferred e-mail addy I can send it to? (I can't attach files to PMs here, can I?)

by Demenzia » Sun Apr 29, 2007 6:37 pm

OK, will do. :)

If you can manage to reproduce the error with another log, especially one you wouldnt mind sharing with Khuri, then please let us know :)

I caught a couple of processing errors in ChatCon when trying to convert the contents of one of my chat windows. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to test it more thoroughly this morning, but given what I've seen of it, it may have something to do with either the name of our org (with [] in it) and/or the org bot & its messages. I'll need to ask Keanne about which bot type we use, because I've noticed that the problem doesn't happen with the chat window into which I send Channel42, so it can't be linked to *any* type of bot, I suppose.

As for the error message I get, it's all in German, but basically I think it means something like "An unexpected error has occurred". If I manage to reproduce the problem later on -- because, of course, I've deleted my other log without thinking twice. Duh... -- I'll copy/paste it here.

Hope this helps. Anyway, I'll be sending org chat to another window from now on, to see if it goes on and to test again later on.

Call this a quick service. It's been fixed. Thanks for the info :)

I'll pop a link to your post into the team's to do list, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Without it we cannot fix our errors :)

Nope, its even when im logged in.

by Ukblizzard » Fri Apr 27, 2007 5:28 pm

It appears to show that to me too when I am logged out. I am sure Khuri will see this post when he checks here next and have a look into it :)

Can i ask when i try and go there, it still says it's being worked on?

Looks alot better :) really busy RL atm though so not much time to test it out, got some weird centering issues and overlined text, but its readable and that makes it good enough for now, thanks alot :)

by Khuri » Sat Oct 28, 2006 6:01 pm

The problem has been located and a new Version of the ChatConverter is ready to download at the Tools Download-Site

by Wormtown » Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:10 pm

Ok sent you a private message now :)

About the crashes, read the help.html file within the package, it explains that the program does not crash, just windows says so. Just keep waiting a moment.

As for your tells, would you mind sending me a copy of just that piece you posted on top from the source-file (eg your log.txt) so i can try it out on my own? That would be nice.
