As you travel through the Shadowlands, you will invariably kill a creature that drops some armor whose description states that "This is a variation of a type of armor often worn by undercover groups".

These armors are not NODROP, but are all UNIQUE (which makes collecting sets for others a bit of a pain). Their drop rate is better from Shadowlands bosses than regular creatures. These armors come in seven varieties: Bootlegger's, Exploiter's, Killer's, Outsider's, Saboteur's, Smuggler's and Zealot's. Each armor can be worn by two different professions. There is no left-arm sleeve or helmet for any of these sets. The armor requires intelligence and agility to equip and there is also also a level lock that varies by quality. The icons for all seven armor sets are identical, but the armor itself looks nothing like their icons. Each armor set has a dominant color.

These armors do not provide as much protection as some other armors at the same quality level, but on the other hand they do not have any AC holes. In fact they provide a small AC boost in one AC and provide some useful buffs. The other drawback, besides the fact that they are unique and there is no helmet or left sleeve, is that these armor sets are ugly. In fact, the ugliness of these armor sets may be a crime against fashion and good taste.

One must question the wisdom of undercover agents wearing such brightly colored and ugly armor with only one sleeve, but that may explain how so much of this armor ends up in the digestive tracts of Shadowlands creatures. If you are brave and self-confident enough to don a set of this armor, then let us examine the benefits these armors provide (the QL 300 version of each armor will be examined and at QL 300 each armor requires 900 intelligence and agility and level 200 or more to equip). If you wear this armor set, we hope you will show better judgement than it's previous owner.
