High Commander Brock.
He can be found behind this building.
He will soon tell you how you can get such a nice ring for yourself too, if you are willing to help him out.
The quest has 5 different parts, each one giving you a nice ring which will boost your abilities. Each part is harder to do than the previous, which is reflected in the rings themselves as they have title level requirements and are NoDrop. You can't skip doing one part just to get a better ring; they need to be done in a certain order. But what you can do is gather the items (which are NoDrop) needed ahead of time for each part and perhaps save some time.
There are 5 Rings of Tir, which you get in the following order:
- Watcher of Tir Ring
- Sergeant of Tir Ring
- Captain of Tir Ring
- Commander of Tir Ring
- High Commander of Tir Ring
Talk to Brock and tell him he has a nice ring. He will look you up and down and ask you if you have a ring already. Tell him that you don't yet, and he will give you an empty Dog-Tag Bag and a mission.
Your objective is to hunt Fresh OT and Amateur OT mobs for Grunt Dog-Tags. If you find such a Dog-Tag, put it into the Dog-Tag bag by shift-right clicking with it on the bag.
They can be found in several locations. Southeast of Tir and around the edges of the Newland lake are the most convenient places. Lower level characters who don't want to travel that far may also pull missions around level 1-10, which should be located inside or around the city where they pulled the mission from.
When you have filled the bag with 10 Grunt Dog-Tags, it will be full. Head back to High Commander Brock and give him the bag. He will reward you with a:
Talk to High Commander Brock again and show him the Watcher of Tir Ring. He will ask you if you are ready to hunt down Rookie OT mobs. If you're up to it, tell him that you are ready. He will give you another empty Dog-Tag Bag and a mission. You're now looking for:
You can find a good number of Rookie OT mobs in a large area between the main road and an omni outpost in
Fill the bag with 10 Rookie Dog-Tags and when you're ready, go back to High Commander Brock. He will give you this:
Once again, talk to High Commander Brock and show him your Sergeant of Tir Ring. He will ask you if you are ready to hunt down Seasoned OT mobs. If you are, he will give you another empty Dog-Tag Bag and a mission. You're now going to look for:
You can find a good number of Seasoned OT mobs north of the 2HO outpost, near the feries and the road north of it. You could also pull some missions from level 90-150.
Fill the bag with 10 Regular Dog-Tags and then head back to High Commander Brock and show him your loot. He will reward you with a:
Talk with High Commander Brock again and show him the Captain of Tir Ring. If you tell him you're read to hunt down some Veteran OT mobs, he will give you a fresh empty Dog-Tag Bag and a new mission to fill it with:
Veteran OT mobs are rarely found outdoors, so your best bet is to pull missions from level 180-200.
When you're done, hand the full bag back to High Commander Brock. He will give you a:
Once more, talk to High Commander Brock and show him the Commander of Tir Ring. He will now ask you if you are ready to hunt down Ace OT mobs. Tell him you are and he will give you another Dog-tag Bag and a mission to fill it with:
Ace OT mobs are also rarely found outdoors, but you can find them in missions from level 195-210.
Fill the bag with 10 Commander Dog-Tags. Go back to High Commander Brock and give him the bag. He will give you the final reward:
These rings are great, especially if you don't have the Shadowlands expansion. You can wear two of them at the same time.
