Dates on Rubi-KaEvery once in a while, you might encounter a date in game or for example on the Anarchy Online Timeline, and you might wonder what year that corresponds to out of character.
When Anarchy Online launched in 2001, the in-game year was 29475. Each year on Rubi-Ka is the same length as a year on earth, which means the dates correspond as follows:

Time on Rubi-KaUsually when referring to time in game, players use UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), which is based on the 24 hour clock of earth. The planet Rubi-Ka however has a day length of 27 hours, of 60 minutes each. You can find the current time of day in game with the command /played. Its output will be something like:
Time: 17:44 local (16:44 GMT), 17:05 game
Date: 07. Feb 2022 local
Saavick has played 279 days 11 hours 53 minutes 28 seconds
In this example, 17:05 is the game time, which is Rubi-Ka time on the 27 hour clock. This clock is mostly used for the day-night cycle. It starts to get dark at about 24:00 and light again at 7:00. Prime screenshot time is at about midday!
Every minute in real time, 15 minutes in game time pass. The full 27 hour day takes 108 minutes of real time to complete.
