Did two runs through S7 tonight with a full team, first time through everything went fine. We got 100% drops on all 4 belt components and 1 storage box from the technician. On the second run through the Drone Tower did not drop the NCU slots and the Kyr Technician did not drop a Power Unit. I was responsible for rolling/distributing the loot so I was under some suspicion to say the least. It would seem that the "lead dev behind S7" might have been mistaken about 100% drops. Hoping that someone else can confirm this because I look like a ninja right now.

Just point people to the vicinity and team loot messages, those will validate you...

We have a few missing/invalid items listed in this guide, the items may have changed over time and those linked are not longer available.

If anyone has recent information on the items used/dropped in this quest please share your knowledge.
See chapter 2.1, chapter 3.2.1, chapter 3.3.3 and chapter 3.4.1

@Khuri

There is a problem with Demoder's database; the item references are in fact correct.

"Unknown ItemID: 288359" in chapter 2.1: the item exists just fine:
https://aoitems.com/item/288359/kyrozch-prison/

Same for "Unknown ItemID: 288439" in 3.2.1:
https://aoitems.com/item/288439/viral-pain/

And "Unknown ItemID: 288441" in 3.3.3:
https://aoitems.com/item/288441/viral-venom/

And "Unknown ItemID: 288439" in 3.4.1:
https://aoitems.com/item/288439/viral-pain/

The same problem also occurs in the guide on Bracelets of Arul Saba.

Not much can be done from our side about that then.
We just supply the IDs, Demoders database hands out the details.

I can change the item references to direct links I suppose? That would work right?

That would work, but kinda works against the purpose of the system of automatically updating based on the ID alone.

But if you think this item won't change anytime soon, go ahead :)

Has anyone consulted Demoder?

The issue is its also referenced in AUNO using 288359 as the item. Not sure how that is a Aoitems issue if thats the case, but it could be that its not listed properly in Aoitems as its not coming up on a search using the name there, but does come up in AUNO.

I'd msg Demoder on Discode, but she is way over my head in abilities. Saav would be better to bring it up. Im betting Demoder can fix it

Great, thanks Khuri. :)

If Demoder is available to help, that would be fantastic. Otherwise, I might be able to help out too. Am I correct that AO-Universe uses a local database with a mapping of item ids to item names and icons? If so, I should be able to generate an up to date version for that as well, if you would give me an example of the required format.

The db dump provided to AO-U, and which is available through the search interface on aoitems.com, excludes monster-only templates and anything tagged as trash (items which never made it into game).

The list of ID's that were provided in this thread (288359, 288439, 288441) are all marked as monster-only, and the item ID I found in the guide for the Arul Sabas (150850) is marked as trash.

The nanos in question not being part of the DB is "working as intended", but it seems the intention behind this optimization was a bit misguided. Should I include monster items in next dump?

As for the arul sabas, that's a 1h deep-dive (writing this post-mortem :P). But the short version is it'll be fixed on next dump, and thanks for the heads-up!

Arul Sabas, long version:
IIRC, there was a bunch of arul saba templates which were "not the one actually used ingame", and in patch 18.1.0 the "real" ones were renamed, and therefore all bracers named exactly "Bracelet of Arul Saba" were marked as trash/not ingame.
Upon further investigation, although *most* of bracers named exactly "Bracelet of Arul Saba" are not ingame, some of them are the final tradeskilling step before adding the gems.

There were almost 300 templates named "Bracelet of Arul Saba", most of them have been modified through various patches, and have modifiers (and some do not, while the description says they should). The ones with conflicting description and actual effects all had some wear requirements, but no modifiers. (example: https://aoitems.com/item/229978/bracelet-of-arul-saba/)

I narrowed down my search a bit and selected only bracelets of arul saba which have no spells (and thus no effect on wear, but may or may not have requirements to wear). This left me with the following dataset, which seems to be the expected.

Code: Select all

TemplateId Name TemplateType Quality TagMonster TagTrash GROUP_CONCAT(t2.`PatchId`) Spells
---------- --------------------- ------------ ------- ---------- -------- -------------------------- --------
    150855 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 80 0 1 12080000 0
    150856 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 80 0 1 12080000 0
    150839 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 110 0 1 12080000 0
    150851 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 110 0 1 12080000 0
    150848 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 150 0 1 12080000 0
    150854 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 150 0 1 12080000 0
    150849 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 180 0 1 12080000 0
    150852 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 180 0 1 12080000 0
    150850 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 200 0 1 12080000 0
    150853 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 200 0 1 12080000 0
SQL query (for later use):

Code: Select all

SELECT
t.`TemplateId`,
t.`Name`,
te.`Name` AS 'TemplateType',
t.`Quality`,
tt.`Monster` AS TagMonster,
tt.`Trash` AS TagTrash,
GROUP_CONCAT(t2.`PatchId`),
(SELECT COUNT(*) AS spells FROM TemplateSpells AS ts WHERE ts.TemplateId = t.TemplateID AND ts.TemplatePatchId = t.`PatchId`) AS Spells
FROM
Templates AS t
JOIN Templates AS t2 ON (t2.`TemplateId` = t.`TemplateId`)
LEFT JOIN TemplateTags AS tt ON (tt.`TemplateId`=t.`TemplateId` AND tt.`PatchId`=t.`PatchId`)
LEFT JOIN TemplateEnums AS te ON (te.`Enum`='TemplateGuessedType' AND te.`Value`=t.`TemplateType`)

WHERE
t.`IsCurrent`='1'
AND t.`Name` = 'Bracelet of Arul Saba'
AND t.`Description` NOT LIKE '%have been attached%'
AND (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM TemplateSpells AS ts WHERE ts.TemplateId = t.TemplateID AND ts.TemplatePatchId = t.`PatchId`) = 0
GROUP BY t.`TemplateId`

ORDER BY t.Quality

Initial digging to figure out whether things were excluded on purpose:

Code: Select all

TemplateId Name TemplateType QL_or_NCU TagMonster TagTrash
---------- --------------------- ------------ --------- ---------- ----------
    150850 Bracelet of Arul Saba Armor 200 0 1
    288359 Kyr'Ozch Prison Nano 1 1 0
    288439 Viral Pain Nano 1 1 0
    288441 Viral Venom Nano 1 1 0

Code: Select all

SELECT
t.`TemplateId`,
t.`Name`,
te.`Name` AS 'TemplateType',
t.`Quality` AS 'QL_or_NCU',
tt.`Monster` AS TagMonster,
tt.`Trash` AS TagTrash

FROM
Templates AS t
LEFT JOIN TemplateTags AS tt ON (tt.`TemplateId`=t.`TemplateId` AND tt.`PatchId`=t.`PatchId`)
LEFT JOIN TemplateEnums AS te ON (te.`Enum`='TemplateGuessedType' AND te.`Value`=t.`TemplateType` )
WHERE
t.`TemplateId` IN (288359, 288439, 288441)
AND t.`IsCurrent`=1

I've updated the code for now. If there's no image ID supplied it'll show an N/A image instead.

Thanks so much for looking into this Demoder! And for the detailed explanation as well.

We talked about it the other day too, but I felt I'd reply here too so other people can also comment :)

I feel it would be perfectly fine to include monster items in the db dump for AOU; the guide maker will generally intentionally reference a monster item. Various NPC effects can have a big impact on how to deal with an encounter and an item link really adds something for the reader.
