Sector 42 is the hardest sector yet to come.

How to gain access:

To get access to this Sector you need 3 Kyr'Ozch Data Core that drop from bosses in sector 13, 28 and 35. When you have all 3 Kyr'Ozch Cores you can trade them with the Unicorn Access Supervisor outside Sector 42 gates. He will give you a Decrypted Kyr'Ozch Data Core.

This key will enable you to access Alien Playfield; Sector 42, but mind you should not try to enter without a large raid-force. As a side note Decrypted Kyr'Ozch Data Core will also give you the ability to warp from ICC/Andromeda directly to the Outzones without having to wait for shuttle. All you have to do is right-click Decrypted Kyr'Ozch Data Core.

How to enter:

So, as stated above, you need to speak with the Unicorn Access Supervisor outside the gates to Sector 42.

Unicorn Access Supervisor

Once you have received your Decrypted Kyr'Ozch Data Core from him, you need to accept his mission for entering the sector.

Make sure you tell him in the dialog that you will accept the mission. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIALOG ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO THE END, OR ELSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER!
(you must end dialogue with "goodbye")

Now in your NCU Window you should have a nanoprogram running called Unicorn Authorization. When you have this buff, you can enter and leave the playfield for 20 minutes. As you enter you will get a new buff called "Recall Beacon" that will last for 90 minutes. (after 90 minutes you will get removed from playfield, so time is of the essence).

One very important reminder is to listen to the raid leader of your side all the time and remember to check your NCU after you have clicked on the Biological transceivers before the fences. DO NOT move over the fence before you have checked your NCU for Alien Bio-Transmission Encoder.

You will need 3 raid-forces here. 1 for each Signal tower to kill.

One main raid-leader will have an ongoing dialog with the other 2 raid-leaders and they will ensure that all 3 towers are taken down at approximately the same time. Only ranged and pets can attack Alien Signal towers.

Once all 3 signal towers are down, you will have to kill the mini-bosses.

A common tactic is to help East to the fence than move back the way you came and move towards North/West. When you reach the spot where they have to move North you split again (There is no right or wrong tactic but this has proven effective.)

Using AoE snare is a very effective way to avoid seekers from wiping the raidforce so fixers and crat are useful for west. AoE roots however are an absolute NO GO.

At the East Signaltower you will find the same bosses as you encounter in APF 35, namely Field Marshal - Cha'Khaz & Field Support - Cha'Khaz.

At the North Alien Signal tower you will encounter Master Genesplicer - Cha'Khaz from APF 13. This also means that, like Sector 13, you will encounter adds. The north general is also able to steal reflects so the tank should not have any reflects on.

And finally at the West Signal tower you will encounter a new boss called Proto-Embalmer. This boss will drop the same loot as from APF 28.

When all Mini bosses is taken down you have to repeat the procedure with killing towers again. It is still important to kill the towers at the same time. When all the towers are taken down for the second time, the Artillery Commander will spawn at each raid group (this will take 2 minutes approx, so you have good time to buff up). The raid group should spread out in a "fan-formation" and only the main tank should engage directly in front of the boss.

The Artillery Commander will spawn adds named Alien Seekers. These adds need to be be taken out fast with specials when they pop and also advisable to have a fixer to use AoE snare on them. The Seekers do some nasty nukes that can kill you in 1 -3 hits. (depending on your HP)

Alien Seeker

The faster you kill the Artillery commander, the more seekers you will get. So its advisable to use regular damage on Artillery commander, while saving specials for seekers.
