Introduction

Pocket bosses are made from patterns that drop from various creatures in the Shadowlands. Once assembled and prepared you can spawn a boss which most of the time drops symbiants as part of their loot. Some pocket bosses are used to complete quests such as garden key quests.

Required Items

To assemble a pocket boss, you will need the following items:

ItemDescription
Image
Abhan pattern 'XXX'
Image
Bhotaar pattern 'XXX'
Image
Chi pattern 'XXX'
Image
Dom pattern 'XXX'
Note:'XXX' must of course mean the same exact name of the PB you are trying to create, be aware that some names are very similar. You also need one of each part to create one PB.

You can get these as drop from dyna bosses in Shadowlands (mostly heckler and crippler types), or you can ask a friendly MP with the Shadowlands expansion to create some using the Boon of Ergo nanos.

You can buy this from a Yuttos Tools vendor; it's sold as a Yuttos' Reinforced Container, which you can right click to receive an Ancient Novictum Refiner. Yuttos vendors exist in multiple places, for example at
the Jagged Coast in Elysium
Elysium East - 720x1595
. The price will vary with your Computer Literacy Skill. If you have 1000 Computer Literacy, it will cost about 19 mill.
Alternatively, the tool can also be acquired from the Scheol Jobe Scientists Quest

Provoked Bond of Novictum
Enraged Pith of Novictum
Vicious Novictum Continuity
Furious Novictum Nexus
Cataclysmic Birth of Novictum
I recommend you kill spirit mobs which drop Novictum often, the best location is the spirit room in the Redeemed/Unredeemed Temples.

Assembling a Pocket Boss

You can combine the various pieces as follows:

Complete Blueprint Pattern of 'XXX'

No skill required. However, level of player character must be 75% of the pattern being assembled.

Next it needs to be put in a Crystal Filled by the Source. You will need a Crystal of the same QL or higher as the completed pattern. You can get a Crystal filled by the Source by targeting a Control Tower of the same level or higher as the Unpolluted Crystal, and right clicking the Unpolluted Crystal on it. This will fill it and at the same time drain your entire nano pool. Alternatively, you can also simply buy an already filled Crystal.

Notum Crystal with Etched 'XXX'

Requires 6 x QL of Blueprint in Nano Programming.

The last item you need to get is a Subdued flow of Novictum, which also needs to be the same or higher QL as the complete pattern. These are refined from normal Novictum that drops from named mobs around the Shadowlands. Once you have found one you need to use an Ancient Novictum Refiner on it to subdue it, then combine the subdued notum with the crystal.

Requires 4.5 x QL of Etched Crystal in Quantum FT.

Spawning the Pocket Boss

To spawn your finished pocket boss, simply take the crystal to an incarnator of the same or higher level as the crystal. Target the incarnator and then right click your crystal from your inventory. If you are within level range of the boss, it will attack immediately. If you are much higher than it (its health bar is grey to you), it will ignore you.

You can look up the various incarnators and their level in the following table:
