Tools and Materials

As the name indicates, the basic ingredient for this armour is junk, more specifically Robot Junk. You can find Robot Junk on any robot, including Waste Collectors, Mech Dogs, Buzzsaws, Slayers and Hellhounds.

Besides robot junk, you will need the following tools:

The Precious Metal Reclaimer is obtainable from Mechanical and Electrical Tools terminals in the tradeskill department in general stores. It doesn't get used up in the process. Pharmacy and Chemistry Tools and Bases terminals sell HSR - Sketch and Etch Tools. A Screwdriver is something you can buy at any general shop as well. A Mass Relocating Robot (Shape Hard Armor) is not sold in shops; check our Mass Relocating Robots guide to learn how to get it. Note that the Mass Relocating Robot is optional.

The Tradeskill Process

First let's turn our Robot Junk into usable metal sheets:

  +    =
Requires 6x the QL of the Robot Junk in Mechanical Engineering.

Note: While it's possible to refine Robot Junk over QL 200, the resulting armour will never be higher than QL 200.

Next we need to decide which armour pieces we want to build. Note that HSR - Sketch and Etch - Helmet will make Shoulder Plates, not a Helmet. You can wear two shoulder plates.

The final step can be approached in two different ways. You may either use a Mass Relocating Robot (Shape Hard Armor) or a Screwdriver. While the second is cheaper to obtain, it also requires more skill to use.
