Introduction

Organisations (Orgs) are guilds in Anarchy Online. They allow players to join together and form a cohesive group. To form an org you need a full team of people, none of whom can be a member of another org. The team leader can then use the /org create command to create the org. Free players cannot create organisations or receive leadership anymore, but may still have leadership from before this change. You can find a full explanation of the org commands below.

Once formed, you get an org channel that members can chat through, it will appear in your 'friends' tab on the menu and can be selected like any other chat channel.

Governing form types

You can choose various forms of chain-of-command for your org. Each has a slightly different effect on how your org functions, who can promote, recruit or kick members (directly or after demotion) etc.

? We don't have confirmation. (Comments welcome!)
* Additionally, can kick remotely by name without need to target an individual.
** Although there is only one rank in the Anarchism form of government, there is still a distinction for the person who originally created the org, who is still consider the leader of the organization.
*** Two members may kick another member, who may be online or offline. Three members are required to kick the leader-Anarchist (see note above), who may be online or offline. If kicked while online, the leader-Anarchist receives a 12 hour cooldown for joining another org, in contrast with the default 6 hours.

Organization Commands

This is a list of organization commands in Anarchy Online. Commands followed by an asterisk (*) are available to organization leaders only.

/org create (name) *
(name) is the name of the organization.

This is the command to create an organization. The requirements for using this command are:

  • You must be the leader of a full team.
  • You must be on a paid account.
  • All of the team members must be of the same side.
  • None of the team members can be part of another organization.

The organization will belong to the same side as all the members of the team (Omni-Tek, rebel or neutral), and the team leader becomes the organization leader.

/org ranks
Lists all ranks available in the organization. The maximum number of ranks in an organization is 10.

/org history (text) *
This command sets the history of the organization, which is displayed when someone does a /org info.

/org objective (text) *
This command sets the objective of the organization, which is displayed when someone does a /org info.

/org description (text) *
This command sets the description of the organization, which is displayed when someone does a /org info.

/org name *
This command sets the name of the organization, which is displayed when someone does a /org info.

/org promote (target)
There is no need to supply a rank to promote to because promotions are one rank at a time. The target will be informed about the promotion.

Two conditions must be met to allow promotion:

  • You must have someone from your own organization targeted for this command to work.
  • You must be at least one rank above the rank you are promoting to. (The exception is the leader who can promote someone one rank below himself to leader. The leader will lose leadership as the new leader is promoted. Leadership can only be transferred to characters on a paid account.)

/org demote (target)
This is the opposite of promote. The target will be informed of the demotion.

Two conditions must be met to allow demotion:

You can only demote someone who is at least one rank below you.

You must have someone from your own organization targeted for this command to work.

/org info (target)
When you do a /org info on a target, you will get the following information:

  • Organization Name
  • Governing Form
  • Leader
  • Objective
  • Description
  • History

If you and the targeted individual are part of the same organization, you will see the organization rank of the target. And if there is a vote going on, you will see some information about it (description, time left to vote, and the alternatives).

If you have yourself targeted, you will also get to see the organizational upkeep (upkeep cost / payment cost).

/org governingform (form) *
Where (form) can be one of Department, Faction, Republic, Monarchy, Anarchism, and Feudalism.

/org kick (name of player)
It is important that you can kick someone who is not targeted (offline, or in another playfield). Only the leader or someone three ranks above the target can kick them. If you are kicked while online, you will receive a 6 hour lockout that prevents you from joining an org. If you are kicked while offline, the lockout is not applied.

/org invite (target)
Asks a player if he wants to join. There is currently no limit to the number of members an organization can have.

The requirements for doing an /org invite are the following:

  • The targeted player must not be member of another organization. (He must leave before he can join yours.)
  • The target player must be from the same side as the organization. (Omni-Tek, rebels or neutral.)
  • The one inviting must be the leader of the organization or three ranks above the entry rank of the new member.
  • The target will get a pop-up that asks "Do you wish to join (name of organization)" (yes/no). The character will be added only if he answers yes. All members will be informed that the character has entered the organization.

/org leave
When this is typed, you leave the organization. Everyone in the organization who is online will be notified about this. You receive a 6 hour lockout that prevents you from joining an org.

/org disband *
The leader can disband the entire organization with this command. He will have to confirm the disbanding. When the organization is disbanded, all members will be notified.

/org bank
Any member of the organization that is higher than the lowest rank can see how many credits are currently in the organization bank. This bank account is important because city upkeep is deducted from this account.

/org bank add (credits)
Anyone in an organization can deposit credits into the organization bank using this command.

/org bank remove (credits)
*
This command is used to withdraw credits from the organization's bank. Only the organization's leader can withdraw credits from the organization bank.

/org bank paymembers (credits) *
The leader can use this command to make a one-time payment to all members of an organization.

/org tax

This lesser used command except for new orgs, is used to view what the current organization tax is. This tax should not be confused with the former Global Market tax on the sales of items. This tax is a number of credits deducted from each player every 2 hours of in-game time.

/org tax (credits) *
This command is used by the leader to set the organization's tax. (See previous command.)

/org contract
This command opens a container that contains all the organization's current contracts. Each contract gives the organization a different "advantage" which buffs all players within the org. The number of contracts or advantages that an organization can have depends on how many and what quality notum fields the organization currently controls. See our guide on Organization Advantages for more information. Only the leader of the organization can add or remove contracts.

/org city
This command allows you to see what benefits expansion players receive from various buildings in the organization's Alien Invasion city plot and the type and quality of each building. Obviously, your organization must have a player city with buildings for this command to show anything. Although free players can use this command to see the buildings and the buffs each building provides, the buffs only affect players with the Alien Invasion expansion.

/org help
Displays a list of the organization commands. There are a few other commands not covered in this guide (such as those involving voting). Use this command to see how to use those other commands.
