Guides - New AOU Quest Guides Policy

As of today July 7th, 2009 we the AOU Team have decided on a new policy regarding the release of quests guides covering new content. Before the release of the LoX booster pack Means asked fansites not to release guides right away, because it spoiled things a bit.

Colin was right, without the guides it was more challenging and fun to learn the ropes. In the past two weeks the team discussed the subject and we agreed that it was in the best interest of the community to not have AOU guides the same day content was released. Whenever there is new quest content there will be a minimum seven day period where we will not release guides pertaining to that content.

Sure, this may not be the most popular decision, and other sites may do the opposite to gain some traffic, but we feel it's the right thing to do as AO gamers and for AO Universe.
