Transport / Mounts?

AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Transport / Mounts?

Post by ko3000 » Thu May 24, 2007 12:59 pm

Isn't there a quicker mode of transport to get around like mounts or transport systems. Saw a sub way in Athens but went a little too deep in & got my ass fed to me by some bums

Yes, there's loads! There's the Grid and Whompas which allow you to warp all over Rubi-Ka, and then there's ground, water and air vehicles which you can buy to get around faster. Not to mention certain professions with their little tricks.

Subway is just a dungeon.

There are whompha system and grid tho. Follow this quest and you'll get familiar with whophas. Grid is even faster, but since you need Computer litteracy skill to use, it's a bit premature for you.

Mounts...well since this isn't the dark age, mounts got replaced by vehicles. You can check some of the options here and here. Those are planes and cost a fair bit (cheapest one around 5mill). There are also some ground and water vehicles, but since this game is IP oriented, I'd advise to stay away from them. They are cheaper, but also slower.

...Now you got into my mind that I'd like to see a Fixer with some kind of 'Summoned Grid Chirop' or other for a mount.

Yes, it DOES take a deeply deranged mind to play a Fixer. I know.

I bet that summoned chirop will need Matter Creations as a nano skill though. Then again, I got about 700 of that darned skill just from Symbiants and trickle down...

Of course it'd need MC. It wouldn't really be a Fixer thing if it didn't, right?

Hm. So MPs would have floating testicles, and we could get baseball bats with wings. Sweet. I like that.

What, every profession is getting half a set of flying genitalia now? That's just morally wrong.

*wanders off wondering, who gets to be a giant floating boob?...*

Hm, you're right. Half a set only is wrong! We need to change that!

(I swear I haven't had anything to drink... It's only 6:45 AM.)
