R.I.P. Soldzxx

Post by Windguaerd » Sun May 06, 2012 8:58 am

Brandon was better known as Soldzxx in our clan. He applied to join March 2nd of this year, and became a Dragon March 5th. He was a veteran player of the game, a well known raider in the Atlantean server (as Shadowdoc4, Shadowcrat4, Btfo and other characters). He was a helpful and fun loving member of Mercury Dragons clan.

Brandon was in a bar with a couple of his friends and he was shot after he tried to defend one of them.

I really have no words to express how sad it is to know that someone you played AO with, will never be on AOSpeak again, or team with you, or just have a laugh in org chat.

Many Dragons are in mourning, we all feel the loss of a friend, even tho most of us didn't truly knew him as a person. A soldier in AO and in real life, Brandon was an American Iraq veteran in his early 20's, rode motorcycles, a young hero who risked his life several times for his county.

In behalf of the Mercury Dragons Clan players, my most sincere condolences to his family and friends.

We will always miss you bud, always.

It is very likely that an in-game Memorial service will take place some time this month in the Atlantean server. I will post in this thread with details when available.

Shadow/Brandon will be missed by many, especially Mercury Dragons. The last few months he spent alot of time with us in AO speak. He was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable about the game. We had many laughs.. He was someone that just popped into our channel one day in TS and not to longer joined us with an alt to become one of the Mercury Dragon family. I'm grateful for the time we had to get to know him. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. May you rest in peace Shadow.
hugs,
Calli

For anyone that had not heard, he is alive. His ex-wife had spread the rumors about his death while he was deployed and she had managed to mess with his accounts. It's all straightened out now, however. I've heard from people that were teaming with him recently, so don't break out your zombie gear just yet.

Still 3 months until you'll really need that.

Actually, we're pretty sure he is a zombie now, we all are busting his chops. My whole org is happy that he is alive and kicking.

Man, there was even an in-game memorial and we went through mourning him. A sad moment for many of us, has become an epic moment of "WTF!" now that we know the whole story.
