Most annoying mobs

AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Most annoying mobs

Post by Scarwound5 » Sat Mar 22, 2008 7:45 pm

What is the most annoying mob in AO?

My opinon:

I think the ermites are the most annying.

Why?

Cause they spring up on you by surprise.

I also hate cultists.

Cause.........

One moment you're walking in totw........And the next you run into a player that is being chased by an angry mob of cultists that can agroo you!!!!!!!!!

Infernal Vortexoids - they hit so damn hard even when debuffed heavily. Nerf those attacks :P

It ruins my soloing fun in inf missions

Also Bound Dryads.... huge HP and defence and yet crappy SK for them. Boring mobs to kill imo.

I have the same issues in mishs as well.

If you have probs with soloing go play a single player game.

So if you got mobs on your tail team with someone.

At lower levels it's got to be Rollerrats, little round gits just never give up. Hang on, what's that about a lvl225 Rollerrat?? Aaaaargh!!!

So no-one is aloud to solo once in a while in an MMO. I'd choose your words more wisely before shooting off like that, as you seem to continually do in 90+% of your posts

1. If you cant handle chaos mobs do order mishes at 60% diff or pull chaos with a team.

2.Also if you can solo but MMOs are more pointed to a social prespective. If you team with someone you can make friends if you dont have friends in real life.

First off... Infernal Vortexoids are Shadowlands mobs.. so no way to use those fancy sliders, negating your entire first comment.

Secondly.. While MMOs are supposed to be pointed to a social perspective, you can not always get a team or perhaps not want to team. And it does come with certain penalties such as not killing mobs quite as fast and thus not getting nearly the same amount of XP or opportunities for phats.

Third.. You can make games ingame even if you do have friends in real life, true story!

Fourth.. weren't you the one saying we should remove level locks from dungeons and totally negated my arguments about it having a social aspect about it? O_o

Solo can be fun and you don't need a team all the time

If i look for a item like f.eks Spirit shroud I can't expect a team to slay hundreds of the buggers just to get me the shroud.

Lots of tasks in the game are better done alone

As Engie, I don't really hate any mob... they're usually dead before I get close to them. My bot may have something to say about that, but I've shut down his voice synthesizer for a while because his constant yapping was driving me nuts.

My alter ego is a nanomage NT and boy, he hates everyone and everything that lives/breathes/walks/slithers/hovers/crawls. The mob he can solo is mostly grey, any other/higher level mob he can survive only by kiting them... a tactic that fails to work in dungeons.
At some point I took pen and paper to keep track of how many times he died, but I ran out of paper.

One of the more annoying mobs is that Minx that hangs around just south of Ergo between Elysium and Scheol.
