I have edited this guide to make the following changes:

As of patch 18.7, Kanel's Story and Afirce's World Catalogue of Books can be combined just like the first two specialisations.
Added a remark that the first specialisation is not NODROP.
Improved the formatting and fixed a few spelling errors.

I found Afirce's World Catalogue of Books Volume 5 but it can't be used for anything that I know of.

Yes, as far as anyone has found, its one of those things that has no purpose.

I'm sure someone once told me it was only of use for one Prof, possibly NTs...

NTs do get extra in the form of a cyberdeck when they turn in the specs, but they get it when they turn in books 1-4.
Also, the Penumbra quest gives Afirce's World Catalogue of Books but Volume 1-4 only.
Additionally, attempting to turn in Afirce's World Catalogue of Books - Volume Five, Professor Dedlock in the Jobe profession building tells you he doesn't need that, that he already has it.
In the description, it says, "This is a heavy catalogue of known book titles, collected and published by Afirce Chi. It is the fifth book that didn't meet Afirce Chi's high standards."
Whereas the others (1-4) state: "This is a heavy catalogue of known book titles, collected and published by Afirce Chi. It is one in a series of four."
