I have an account in Auno.org since 2008 but I don't think I ever registered a character and I am not able to post any comments.
I have tried the command suggested (/tell Aunoorg Register v54-06c8) in the game, and the Unknown user "Aunorg" error message is displayed.
Any thoughts?

Well the first thing is to see if that bot is actually active...
/tell (any active bot with lookup) !is aunoorg

P.S.
On closer inspection, you wrote aunorg instead of aunoorg.
Make sure you didn't miss-spell the bot name!

The "!is" command will not make any difference, as this does not even exist when you try to communicate with it. Also, if the name is spelled wrong, well, then this is a question for the Auno.org admins, the name is taken from the instructions, as per the screenshot attached.
Do you know the real name of the bot by any chance?
It would be nice if we could find a workaround to this, as since a few months now, it has been the "official" website for item lookups.

Hi Battlepack!

My apologies, I've been a bit busy on that pesky RK4 (real life) for a few months. Busy time of year for me from September to December and doubly so this year. So, I missed this post. While we have nothing to do with AUNO.org in a direct fashion, and AUNO himself has been very hard to reach for the last decade, I have been in contact with him over a few years, and I have the answer to this.

The AUNO character registration bot hasn't been online for a number of years as it stopped working at some point, and was not repairable. That meant that every character had to be manually registered by AUNO, who, by that time, had not played in a very long time, and no one was there to do that.

AUNO.org's database remains active as AOU members have kept in touch with AUNO, and he agreed and worked with one of us to help get the database updated. You are correct that it is the main source for AOU, and still one of the most used sources for the game. It was with this in mind, that AUNO was recently contacted to see if we can work out a way to make it possible for the ability to comment be available once again.

We can not be sure that will happen. So, until that time we know for sure, unfortunately, most members of AUNO will be unable to comment on the Items Database.

I'm sure we could sort something out. Is he still keeping the DB updated?
