there seems to be a weird error when logging in to the forum and it redirects you to a different site,

Exactly. Once i do a login on this site, i get redirected to google, using a search for "Feeling Lucky", then directly redirects me to the german www.spiegel.de homepage.

There seems to be a missconfiguration with the forum though. When i registered already, i got an activation link showing as...
http://http://ao-universe.com/forums/...

As you can see, you got a double HTTP://
After tracking the data flow now on both IE and Firefox, it does the same. Once the Login-Request is send, the server sends back the URL
Location: http://http://ao-universe.com/forums/index.php
My router then tries to resolve that hostname, which does not exist in this way of course, returning an error. While the IE then just tells you the page you call for does not exist (even though shows only one HTTP in the URL), it seems to be an error from the Firefox browser that it forwards then to another site.

Anyway, in a short, there seems to be a missconfiguration in the forum software.
Probably in the main configuration the server-URL is wrong.

I have no problem with firefox at least for now.
But then again, i'm not going to the forums through the website, i'm typing the URL.

heh, I've got Firefox and got sent to www.microsoft.com... twice!

Hit the back button though and clicked on any other forum link and I was logged in

I had the same problem as Zedar2. It sent me to miscrosoft.com and then i just went back and was fine.
