Dust Brigade Machine

Post by Fourthaid » Fri Mar 14, 2008 11:24 pm

Thought I could give some feedback on the new instance, as melee I've mostly been in the hallways killing towers, so that is mostly what my expertise is. But here is the info I jotted down today about which towers buffed what, each run in the instance seperated by "---" ;)

Code: Select all

south - reflect (blue)
east - heal (red)
west - reflect (blue)
north - heal (red)
east - heal (blue)

---

east - heal (red)
south - reflect (blue)
north - heal (red)

---

east - heal (red)
west - reflect (blue)
north - heal (red)
south - reflect (blue)

---

east - heal (red)
south - reflect (blue)
north - heal (red)
west - reflect (blue)
So as you can see:
East & North: Red tower that turns your damage on the boss into heals
South & West: Blue tower that gives Aune 100% (?) Reflect and 200 dmg shield.

With one exception, Aune always shouts something out in vicinity before one of the towers appear.
These:
Ground Chief Aune shouts: DIE!
Ground Chief Aune shouts: Go ahead! Shoot me!
Ground Chief Aune shouts: Shoot me cowards!
Usually imply that a tower is going up.

These:
Ground Chief Aune shouts: Know the power of the Xan!
Ground Chief Aune shouts: You will never know the secrets of the machine!
Usually imply that the evade/init debuff is about to hit, so watch out for the cloud somewhere on the walkway!

This information should make it easier to find out where the tower you need to take down is.

In addition it seems the ~1k DoT occurs shortly after someone steps into the nanocloud that erases the evade/init debuff. Currently it can cancelled by jumping if you are quick enough to notice the nano attack bar.

So there, a start to the info that is needed to compile a guide on this place :) Hope it helps, cheers

Basic Infused Dust Brigade Bracer
Always drops 1 of these

Dust Brigade Notum Infuser
Used to upgrade the Bracer and the different Albatraum hud/util items (Nano Library, Defender, Vision Preserveration Unit, Speed Preservation Unit)
Drops 2 of these

Black/White Molybdenum-Matrix of Xan
For upgrading the Biodome armor into Enhanced Jathos and Enhanced Kegern armor. Black and White upgrade different parts of the armors, so it's not: Black=Omni, White=Clan. I am sure someone else can answer which is needed for which part.

Dust Brigade Engineer Pistol
Drops 1 of these, I believe it's upgradeable with the Notum Infusers, but not certain.

Dust Brigade Solar Notum Infuser (uncertain about the name)
Supposedly used to upgrade the original Engineer Pistol, can't confirm it personally..

Enhanced Dusty Armor
Also drops 1 of these each time.

Stats on the Perfected Infused Dust Brigade Armor:
To Equip:
Level > 200
Computer Literacy > 1800

Modifiers:
NanoDelta 4
HealMultiplier 4
NanoDamageMultiplier 4
MaxHealth 1200
Strength 25
Agility 25
Stamina 25
Intelligence 25
Sense 25
Psychic 25
MaxNanoEnergy 1200
AddAllOff 75
AddAllDef 75
ProjectileDamageModifier 75
MeleeDamageModifier 75
EnergyDamageModifier 75
ChemicalDamageModifier 75
RadiationDamageModifier 75
ColdDamageModifier 75
FireDamageModifier 75
PoisonDamageModifier 75

To upgrade the bracer to perfected infused you need 9 or 10 Notum Infusers and 2000 Computer Literacy to combine them.

So start drooling.

As for the Infused Ancient utilities.. Only need one Dust Brigade Notum Infuser, uncertain on reqs for TSing, less than 1750 CL atleast.

Infused Ancient Defender NODROP UNIQUE
To Equip:
Level from 201
Comp Lit from 1301

Modifiers
Max Health 500
First Aid 60
Nano Resist 30
Add All Def. 50

Infused Ancient Nano Enhancer NODROP UNIQUE

Comp Lit from 1501

Modifiers:
Sensory Impr 50
Matt.Metam 50
Bio Metamor 50

Also there is: Infused Ancient Vision Preservation Unit and Infused Ancient Speed Preservation Unit, probably adds more AAD and resistance to blinds and inits respectively, but can't confirm this.

AOU is your friend ;)

Requires a fair "raid" force, so time to start fluffing your org mates and friends :D

On a Engineer pistol: first upgrade is Dust Brigade Notum Infuser, only after that you can use Dust Brigade Solar Notum Infuser. First upgrade takes 1.5k WS, 2.7K EE and ME (if I remember numbers correctly).

Quick update, finally managed to survive a few runs inside with Aune and I can confirm that the cloud is not a one-use only as was mentioned before.. It can be used by the entire team to get rid of the evade/init debuff, also when the red heal-towers are taken down the evade/init debuff is removed as well.
