This is an exelent tool that I use my self a lot.

Have you ever found yourself looking for that darn treatment rifle, you know it is on one of your chars, but not sure which? Than look no further, if you keep IA running in the background when playing AO, it will keep track of where all items are once you are synced up. Whether it is in the bank, in a backpack, or a backpack in the bank, IA will help you find it with it's searchable local database.

It's just one of those tools that you can't imagine living without once you have tried it.

Seems usefull, but personally I try to awoid 3th party programs without open source. Especially if there's no name of author or no contact info.

Than you need to look closer, contact info is on the bottom of the page I linked to ;)

I have the same position on 3rd party stuff as you, only in this case, I personaly know the developer, and he is a good RL friend of mine :) So in this particular case I have no problem using it all day long, and I can ensure you that Morten most defenently have not put any type of scam into this software :)

Oh, and read the "Quick Start Guide" on the page on how to sync up the IA database with the content of your characters.

It's a bit of clicking, but it doesn't take that much time really. :)

Morten, the creator of Item Assistant has made big changes to his site. IA now has a user feedback form as well!

I'm sure you'll find it usefull...

And now for some breaking news from the developer, he has started on the implementation for automatic pattern matching across chars.

Don't get me wrong, the list of patterns you can get today is a huge step up compared to looking around for patterns ingame. But the new pattern matching will be at least an equally big step up. I'm looking forward to it :)

Looks good. I must remind everyone that Funcom is in no way responsible for third party programs and they do no provide support for them.

And now the paranoia can subside...

The source code for Item Assistant has been released.

A new feature has also been introduced, it now auto detects your toon names as they log in. :)
