Computer Literacy General buff/ Basic questions

Hello everyone. I hope someone can answer some questions. I played Anarchy Online since its release since 2001 and over the years I quit and came back. This time around I see servers Rubika and Rubika2019, which of the 2 has the most population? Second, I noticed I can't buy the General Nano Crystal to buff comp lit plus 10 or 20 as it is not in the general shop. Do they expect us to buy Funcom points with real money? I really want to get back into this game but it seems like they have made it difficult. I do see composite nano crystals which is nice but I miss buying single skills for buffing.

*Found the Composite Comp Lit buff

Best Reguards,

Lee

Not sure which server is more active, I've never actually been on Rubika2019...

Complit can be found in the nanos:
Composite Tradeskill Special Expertise
and
Composite Utility Expertise

I believe you can find them in the nano terminal in ICC.

Because they're composite nanos, I believe you need to be a paid player to use them. Are you a paid player?

Hi BINDEDFURY25,

My apologies, I've been a bit busy on that pesky RK4 (real life) for a few months. Busy time of year for me from September to December and doubly so this year. So, I missed this post. (Some of these involve my personal experiences as well as what others state).

Rubika is RK5 and is considered the main server.

RK5 has:
Paid account players and Froob account players.
GMI sales terminals
Starter area, Arete.
It has a number of items not available on RK2019
Larger player base
Less available fields per org
LOTS of arguing, back and forth sh!t talk, etc

RK2019 was introduced in 2019 as a progressive server. It was not 100% updated, but it has all the expansions, and it has full leveling available to 220/80/30

RK2019 (RK19) has:
Paid account players ONLY (no Froobs)
Starts in ICC after rolling (No Arete)
A couple questlines not available on RK5
A few items not available on RK5
Mucher fewer people for about 6 months each year
Host to Iron Man Challenge, which brings a lot of players, (Roughly held twice yearly).
Usually enough tower fields for larger/established orgs.
Less PvP, and Tara is usually shared (this may change while Iron Man is active).
Not a lot of insane in-bickering about whose E-peen is longer.
A non-faction server bot to chat, sell, trade and get help

No GMI
Missing some items available on RK5

The Complit nano was combined into: Composite Utility Expertise. You can find it in any FairTrade shop, Nano room. (Like FairTrade in ICC).
Like the old Computer Literacy Expertise, it only required 4 NCU.

A lot of things were changed a while back.

Hope this helped

Hello Cariadas,

Since making this post/thread I have figured out all the changes or most of them. There were a few people who randomly assisted me and dropped me some credits. More than I ever dreamed of. Thank you for the information.

Now I'm working on my Trader since it seemed a better choice for tradeskilling. Before the Trader I started a Engineer and leveled to 150 manually and boosted to 200 via Heckler juice. Still poor but have learned what really sells* on the GMI. Some prices are ridiculous. Still working on upgrades for Trader. Currently level 191 and grinding out some important research skills. Heckler Juice is very tempting. Big thanks to the people who the manage Baffs buff bots. Without them I would have quit.
