Patch Problem...plz help.

When I patch the game which I just downloaded again, the patching is all done and AO restarts, but then I cant login, it still says need patch....wtf?
what verison does the launcher/patcher have?
Current ver. is 16.2.3
you may have to patch many times to get 16.2.3
