AOIA Plus.

AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

AOIA Plus.

Post by Silentmeta » Mon May 27, 2013 11:28 pm

Hi all,

I've recently seen people advertising an AOIAPlus on the RK5 ooc channels.

Initially I was very suspicious, to the point of posting a warning on the download
site (http://sourceforge.net/projects/aoiaplus/) and also the AOIA Forums
at (http://frellu.net/ia/)

Well, life occasionally turns around an shows you that old or not, you can still be wrong.

Dream777, who has made several updates to the code, contacted me in-game, and we
had a good old chat. It didn't take long to realize this was not some 'haxxor', out to
mess people up.

I've since downloaded AOIAPlus myself, and I'm delighted with most of the new options.

Obviously as a froob, things like pattern-matching ofab parts isn't high on my list.

However, with a large number of accounts, the new 'Group Alts by Account' option
is something I will want from now on in AOIA. In fact, I don't think I'd go back to a
version that didn't allow this.

Perhaps someone could do a follow-up interview or a post in a more appropriate
forum?

Best regards,

Silentmeta.

Hey Eli...

Yeah, I've had dealings with him too while he was ironing the bugs out of it.
Maybe one of our reporter leets will take up the challenge. :top:
