what's a good class that works with latency

I have a satellite connection, so was wondering if I should stick with a Pet class. I'm not a tanker type player, but may have to learn to be :?

I was going to tryout a MP. I did start a Crat, and that seems ok so far.
also have an Engineer started, but the times I played the engineer, I still didn't discover how to do pet commands, but now I know so may go back to giving the Engi a try.

I found my old Froob account  , and see I had a Opi soldier started there, curious what I had planned with that one LOL

any ways I am looking for some suggestion that would work for a connection that's going to have latency
Thank you for any suggestions

I used to play with a certain amount of latency, and pet classes did seem to work ok (I'm big into Engis), I'd say avoid Doc (need litening reflexes lol) and fixer, other than that, since it's not a shooter game, you should be ok with a couple of seconds lag...

yeah I was thinking MP or Engineer. Last night I was playing with a NT, and at the time I didn't know it, but it was raining so my latency was really bad, like 6-10 seconds, I couldn't get my nukes off in time, basically had to stand there to take a couple hits, and a NT is not tanking material

I'm going to start a MP tonight.

The fixer will work out but I suspect only the low levels, their defense is their speed, and (been a while) don't they have a decent HoT ?

Yeah Doc's are not the same Doc's I played with 8 years ago, and when I came back 3 years ago I was not pleased with what the Doc became, or what they did to SL. So the Doc was never going to be played this time.

I've only dabbed with the pet classes last time, so it's still a new thing for me, never know I may just really like playing a Pet class.
My favorite was Agent, but going to pass playing the Agent this time, well at first that is, I'll wait till I can get some good sniper rifles before ever starting Agent again

Keeper was another favorite, but I'm Froob now, so that's a no go.

That leaves 2 classes that I have never played higher then maybe level 9-15, Solder and Enforcer
oh and the Adventure, never went far with that one either

So sounds like a Pet class 8)

With a lot of latency I don't see a fixer being too good of an idea because your specials are really important and sometimes hitting them at the last second can be the difference between winning and going to reclaim ;)

The same is also sort of true for their HoT's since the one is short and you'll want to be able to refresh it before it goes down. That one could be timed with the latency, but never really knowing if it's there or not would drive me nuts for sure.

tonight I tried a Adventurer. Surprisingly this has worked out the best for me .
I still have the engineer to test drive, but I have to say the Adventurer has taken the lead as a choice to play.
I may even want to try out those other classes I was wanting to avoid like soldier and enforcer. But I think the Advy will work out , will be a few more days till I decide.

I like playing all the classes actually, just need to find the one that I can play with my connection and have the least headaches playing it, and still thoroughly enjoy :D
