The Musketeers present http://aoforums.futureone.us

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raiders Paradise forum for rk2.

rk2s population is a bit lower than it has been in the past. but never fret. my org has worked to pull together a tool that all of rk2 can use to coordinate and execute raids of all kinds.

if you go there and register and look around. you will see a fully dynamic and customizable foundation for us to bring together the entire server, an easy few thousand players, for any type of raid you can think of, and we have also created a thread for lvling services, both selling and bying lvls, in an open format.

we currently seek above all more raid leaders, and an abundance of raiders. we have initiated a prize system for those that are the most active, to recieve creds/items for thier participation in the forum and thier dedication to there friends on rk2.

if rk2 comes up and makes true use of this site, i have no problems at a later time, expanding this site to encompass rk1 as well. we all play the same game, why not have a place that is designed by players, for players, that isnt constrained to the specific rules and regs as this forum and the official forum.

it doesnt have much froob support currently, but that is soon going to change. all i need is a lot of you great folks to get registered and be active on there and add ideas to the add content thread, and if many of you want the thing added, ill add it. :)

so go check it out, register, and lets get to planning a phats fest. ill see ya there. :)

NOTE TO MODERATORS:
My site is in no way a competitive force against this site or anarchy online official forums. it is merely an extension of my orgs forum open to the public for the sole purpose of making it a bit easier for us to plan and execute raids. i love this site, and visit it frequently, and i recomend others to do so. i hope that yall can understand that this is in no way against either of the stated forums. if you have any specific questions. please feel free to pm me. there is no reason why these 3 forums cant all coexsist. they all have thier main objectives.

I would appreciate if you could just publically state how AO Universe, a website that is maintained, administrated and updated by players and players alone, has guidelines that constrain it from being used for a similar purpose. I do not understand how you are trying to "sell" your forum here, in the AO Universe forums by slating us as being a bad forum to post in to organise raids or things of a similar nature. Perhaps a rewording, or clarification could make the first step a bit more friendly!!

it is not at all a bad forum, or a bad website. i have utilized it myself countless times. but it seems that the main point of this site and forums is learning how to play the game. guides about everything, and a forums to support those guides. that is the great thing about this site.

the objective of my site is a place for one soul purpose: to plan and excecute raids. this forum and site is of the more educational angle, and it is absolutely wonderful. but it would only curb my efforts to make a forum that is all about raiding, to get jumbled up in amongst all the questions from ppl trying to learn. funcom has the official stuff, yall have the educational stuff, and what im trying to build, is a base for actually playing the game, killing stuff for the most part.

it would be a bit difficult for yall to spin off of the main objective yall have to integrate what my site is all about. stick with one main objective and do it as best as it can be done with the technology available.

now tbh, my site may or may not make it. but in 1 day we went from 24 members to 40. and they are ppl that are not forgetting ao universe, but are adding to thier abililty to get the actual game play done.

yes if yall was to want to, yall could make a whole new fourm and do just what im doing. yall have better resousrces to do it anyway.

but i am working on a real site in the background that will be a non profit website aimed at helping communitys all over the country. and i am using my time in anarchy and this new concept for a website as a learning tool of my own to help start my business when i have learned enough to do it running this site.

i hope truly in my heart that we can work together on this. and link to each others sites and make something really good to possibly bring back a struggling game. rk2 is struggling much more than rk1, and i noticed that most of yall are from rk1. rk2 needs this, and needs all the support for this as we can muster.

my goal is to make it better for all players. i am not trying in any way to infringe on the hard work that yall have done with this site. i am only wanting to add to it.

go to the site, look around. its but a mere baby to what yall have accomplished. but it is a good idea just like ao universe was. and look at what ao universe is. i only wish the same thing. for us all to stand together and hold this game together till funcom wakes up and smells some coffee.

i hope i have clerified my intentions, suitably.

ill gladly takes yalls lead. i need this, rk2 needs this. i hope we can work togehter to make this what i envision it to be.

Thank you for responding, if you had put that much into the first post you made I might not have felt irked with the comment about AOU :P

We wish you luck -- the bot plug in we have with our calendar on AOU to announce events surely is a concept worth thinking about for your forums if you havent already got that sorted out with your bot. If you would like a banner going into our rotation, please feel free to send us one!

if anyone at all knows of a free or really enexpensive prog for making banners and such, please let me know, that is another thing that i need to learn for future endevours.

and those that may be uncertain about the validity of http://aoforums.futureone.us all you have to do is do a domain name look up and youll find my real name and other real contact information. i can understand how one might feel about a new site, but under no circumstances will anything concerning you in any way will at all ever be used in any way that is not wholesome and positive.

ao universe has given their blessing and i hope that everone on rk2, even if they cant participate, for whatever reason, can see this as a positively motivated ideal. ao universe was new at one time, and im sure a lot didnt think much of it. well look at it now, all of anarchy online rely upon it for a near countless list of things. i havent yet, but soon there will be a whole page of links to guides and such here, and im sure there is a way to interchange some threads being that both our forum software is php. you pull up a guide to some quest and there is a direct link to a place for you to get help for that quest. like i say, if rk2 will make a real showing at it, expanding it game wide, wont be an issue.

seemlessly comingling for the betterment of all. it has a nice ring to it. :)

smf/simple portal forum software is every bit the equal to phpbb. industry class all the way. its the real deal folks, make use of it.

GIMP -- no really, check the link. Not meant as an offense.

I don't think we're ready to consider the smf forum software, we're continuously working on site improvements and new versions though. Glad to hear you're happy with it though.
